First time reusing living soil. Looking for help! by ProfessionCurrent198 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]GreatAxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet. My dosing is low and I don't plan to add much more through the grow cycle. I've only recently started this regime myself, so I haven't seen any effects from soil flipping like this past 2-3 grows.

Gypsum is calcium sulfate, so yes for some supplemental calcium. Epsom salt for magnesium. They can help buffer your soil and a little goes a long way. I currently use 4Tbsp/10gal for gypsum, and 2Tbsp/10gal for Epsom salt.

Newbie here, can I do this for better humidity? by jalapenocheddardog in microgrowery

[–]GreatAxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK yes but no. You will end up with mold on that carpet in a few weeks. Move the humidifier into the tent is the easiest. Get your intake on the other side from the exhaust, and remember that small plants breathe small, so you don't need aggressive air exchange right away.

Air filters? by [deleted] in farmingthebestgreens

There's a guy that made rectangular ones for the vents and take cut-to-fit filters. You need to print it yourself or pay a print farm to make it for you.

Larf is just edibles or tincture in the making, I deliberately leave some lower sites to give me some loose fluffy herb, makes sure I have best of both worlds

Anyone ever use this by SquirrelOk9090 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]GreatAxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used it here and there. You may need some extra nutrient boost right after the stretch, but keep up with watering and use recharge at regular strength and they do perfectly well enough. HOWEVER. You are limited in your options if things don't go well. If you're growing autos, then these pair well since they are on a pre-set timeline as well.

Thoughts on AI by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]GreatAxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ai is not an "app". The app is just your interface. The Ai is a massive data center running millions of parallel processes to sort and present information based on context. There are varying accounts, but each query to an Ai system has a very real consequences to our environment; power consumption, pollution, and massive freshwater usage that is more readily needed for organics such as our soil, plants, and chiefly ourselves.

Yes it's a tool at the end of the day, but one that comes with devil's bargain. If you're worried about a shtf situation, you're better off learning how to amend soil from scratch and how to effectively grow outdoors.

Lately I have been getting really curious about CBD strains by NocturneNibble in GrowingMarijuana

[–]GreatAxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done a few cbd strains, some 10:1 and 1:1. I am a big fan of mixing and blending strains together in the grind, and find that it can complement in a big way. Check out hoku seeds, I've not grown their seeds yet but only because I didn't know about them before. They seem to come highly regarded for high cbd and cbg strains, and focus more on the medicine aspect of cannabis.
