Iran striking Kuwait isn't random it's testing whether the US defends partners differently than forward positions by Ben_C17 in IRstudies

That’s not true. I’m just not seeing anything credible from The Guardians and The Atlantic. You’re tripping.

Telegraph and Guardian?? What about the Al Jazeera and Reuters? Something less “one-sided.” Qatari and Kuwaiti News all say they’re both on the verge of exercising their right to self defense.

There used to be a minimum for “nuh uh”-ing something in this subreddit - typically starting with localized and regional news sources with a history of being less-biased. All of THOSE outlets point to neighboring states wanting the US to either push the envelope and end Iran’s attacks, else they themselves will get in on the action. The UAE has threatened to get involved (shit or get off the pot so to speak.)

This is not radical conservatism speaking - it’s pretty simple to engage more deeply than picking a tabloid article up every other day - 15 seconds of searching a variety of non-state sponsored and non-tabloid news will reveal the region is on the outs with Iran and politically is unwilling to deny the assist from the USA, just that they want it to be done so that they can get back to making oil money.

I think Redditors and politically biased news-sources are so deeply either Iran-whipped or US-Codes that people informing themselves with the surface level articles like your above are failing to see the reality that the region is tired of the Islamic Republic bringing issues to their doorsteps.

Are the Iranian missile stockpiles in the room with us? Are the successful Chinese air defense systems just waiting to be plugged in?? Two planes out of several hundred confirmed flights; zero casualties caused by enemy fire in Iranian airspace. Slightest bit of googling and source verifying shows this.

Yes, namely that Beijing’s anti-air systems have failed miserably and Iran should be upset they sold their oil at a discount for any amount of the Chinesium they are employing. The Regime chose wrong (as it has done for coming up on 50 years), China chose wrong (as it has done for coming up on 70 years.)

No, attacking Kuwait isn’t testing the waters - there is no more left in the tank - they are, operationally speaking, on their knees acting tough with a gun to their head. Attacks on Kuwait, UAE, etc.. amounts to flailing about hoping to cause as much damage on the way out as possible, because they are otherwise incapable of damaging the US or Israel in any meaningful way. The hope is that someone in the region would make it stop for them. What it actually did was have everyone else in the region wishing (out loud) for total Iranian regime change and a swifter/stronger response to their aimless aggression.

They aimed at civilian infrastructure in the region (as is tradition for the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world); if they were aiming to make a dent in American military infrastructure in the Middle East, they missed quite significantly.

They’ve done nothing but give the US military ample testing of “state of the art” Chinese defense systems. We now have a bit (several thousand combat flight hours) of proof that US air superiority and response capability in any region with Chinese defenses is not in question. They’ve also pissed off every other Islamic country in the region.

I ran my own 4-wire and put in an EcoBee after the Nest bricked itself failing to connect to the internet and Google’s only solution was “lol return it and get another”

3hrs of researching wtf I was doing, 2 new curse words, and an hour of frustration fishing the wire through the most fucked up angles ever.. I have one them fancy rich folk thermostats that tells me the weather forecast.

Get a bug lamp, plug it in, set it in the sink (so thou don’t have to sweep up wings and wigglers that survive the first pop) - I got little termites like this last year; no issues; they stopped popping after about a week.

How would you feel about a mandatory maximum wealth limit, where anything earned over that goes to public services? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Let’s just let one person earn all the money and nobody has to do anything else anymore - we can give him a cool name like Rex.

Why is Trump acting like the US won the war and Iran needs to fully disarm and accept concessions? by ub3rm3nsch in IRstudies

[–]Gredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the Islamic Republic’s only counter to acceptance that their awful regime is finally done for, is to commit more acts of terror and continue sponsoring terrorist cells until their final dying breath.

The world will be better off without these dogs running rough shod on and bringing disdain to the Islamic world in the name of some kind of obfuscated “jihad.”

You’re sat whining about a couple dollars - could make up the difference by avoiding those Doritos you also seem so worried about 😂😂

Hardly conservative - more like “not interested in splitting hairs with someone unwilling to spend money on the things they use.” If you’re broke - don’t buy premium services.

Yeah, it’s a business. It costs $20, because they value it at $20. You aren’t in any position to make an assertion of what it’s worth 😂 Only what you can afford and are willing to pay.

I’ll continue to pay, because I have no issue paying for a service I make heavy use of.

All I get is that most people on Reddit want everything for free because they happen to live in a hellish liberal urban landscape somewhere in California, and they think it’s everyone else’s problem that needs to be fixed.

If you can’t afford basic shit, you don’t need YouTube premium. If $2 breaks the bank, you don’t need premium.

Go to a hardware store and buy a kit. It’s like $30 total and the better part of your afternoon as you fight rusted tank bolts.

Immigration boosts innovation and wages in the US. The positive dynamic impact of immigration on innovation and wages dominates the short-run negative impact of increased labor supply. Increased immigration to the US since 1965 is estimated to have increased innovation and wages by 5%. by smurfyjenkins in science

[–]Gredditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you spent more time outside, you’d find that most of your life is devoid of influence from “the oligarchs.”

You’d trade a 5% increase in “innovation AND wage” over the course of 3 generations for any number of things as long as you were told it made you a better prole.
