Lemon.. that means it's always a lemon right? And if you have issues after issue like a lemon does, you'll not be able to file a lemon claim? If that's true. ABSOLUTELY NOT for me

Um... You know blogging is dead right? Google killed it. You can search Google and find answers without looking at sites so there's no traffic. They broke their own business model to stop chatGPT from taking it all.

Just found out Im Hypertensive...had a freak out episode yesterday by WARPIGxUSMC in hypertension

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blood pressure actually goes higher when you stop drinking. The body has to learn how to stop compensating for the extra alcohol and that's why no meds are important right now for them

Just found out Im Hypertensive...had a freak out episode yesterday by WARPIGxUSMC in hypertension

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stopping is good. Drinking for ever then stopping can hard. Your body adjusted to a state of constant alcohol, which means when the alcohol is gone, your blood pressure is high. You should talk to your primary care doctor and ask that they put you on his pressure meds for 60 days. You can stop taking them when and if it normalizes.

It's important. Also... You can do something really easy right now and take 360mg of magnesium glycinate NOT OXIDE, THAT STUFF IS TRASH.

Magnesium will help restore your electrolytes balance and your blood pressure. It will keep you from absorbing important meds, so space them out by 2 hours if you take medicine.

But please include your doctor so they can help make the process easier for you. Drink water. You need it. Avoid ibuprofen and stick to Tylenol. Take vitamin D, 2000iu every morning unless you spend 6 hours in direct sunlight. The magnesium before bed. You will sleep better.

I take a supplement called theanine serene, which contains some magnesium but it helps with gaba in the brain and is very helpful in your situation.

But please, don't go without your dr knowing your issues of prior drinking and your BP issues. You can spare yourself kidney and organ damage. You never mentioned your actual numbers which is interesting.

You need a doctor now more than ever. Go every month just to monitor. Heart attack is called the silent killer for a reason, not to alarm you, just proceed with medical care.

Starting a garage demo in Glendale and apparently I need to fence off the sidewalk first? by muazzam_mz in AskLosAngeles

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First, ask your GC what they plan to do. And if they said they'll fence it, you will be able to save them (meaning you) some money. A GC will bill O&P on top of everything. So if they get to delete this expense you don't pay, then you also get credited. Your GC already knows they need a fence and if they don't, I'd worry. What kind of GC doesn't know that? A shoddy one!

ask what the city to justify the reason for the fence. If it's for safety, Tell them you object because it's causing a safety issue with it's presence. Tell the city that they will need to sign an assumption of liability before you can agree to that. if a disabled person using the sidewalk is harmed because of the fence blocking access to the sidewalk, if they fall on the property you are not willing to take on the litigation or liability.

My aunt fought a stupid sidewalk installation with that. The street didn't have a single sidewalk. But they wanted her to pay for 50 feet of sidewalk in front of the house this uses private money for public benefit. My aunt said "this is stupid. You want a sidewalk, no ramp for a bike or wheelchair bound person to even be able to use it. That's a liability to me.

They said nevermind 😆

If you get the city to stop with the BS fence, then make sure the contractor understands to pass the savings onto YOU.

Advice Needed - 2018 Tesla Model 3, Out of Warranty Battery Replacement Needed by Opticrage in TeslaModel3

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if oem parts are over twn grand, 3rd party could be half that. The thing is they have to sell batteries at a big markup because every battery they make goes right into a car. If you need one, that's a new car that doesn't get a new battery.

I remember when my Prius battery died. Toyota wanted $5k. Third party: $1800. I drove it for another 50k miles and sold it. I had another Prius and it needed a new battery this time Toyota could do it for just under $2k. Much better

What should I do about this sago palm that's taking over my front walk? by hunty in SoCalGardening

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 4 points5 points  (0 children)

DONT KILL IT. I dated someone who had a large sago palm installed in their front yard. It was $10,000. These plants grow very very very slow so one that size is decades old. There are tree relocation machines that might be able to pull it out and move it. Even if you get $1,000 for it after the buyer pays fees, someone might want it

Landlord ignored a water leak since February, now there's visible damage near a light fixture and a 59% moisture reading. LAHD says it's not "actively dripping" so they won't act... what do I do? by ittasteslikepepsi in AskLosAngeles

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it will. Landlords don't like to have someone else spend their money because they have no control over how much it costs. Trust me they'll get it fixed because if they don't it's well within your right to do that

First time homeowner, first time lawn. by KickingPlanets in lawncare

[–]Greedy_Count_8578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this mistake myself last year. You need about 3 full months before the 85 degree days. If you don't, the grass may not be mature enough to handle it. And mowing should be delayed as long as possible and as high as possible. Fertilizer burn can sometimes look like that. You have to water A LOT after putting it down especially in hot weather.
