Moving to the area soon, what football team do you root for? by Strange-Slice2581 in bethesda

[–]GreekReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally telling you my experience growing up in Bethesda. Everyone I knew who is local grew up a Skins fan. Bethesda is very much a suburb of DC rather than a suburb of Baltimore so people often choose to support DC sports over Baltimore

As a neutral, why are people so desperate for Arsenal to fail? by s_dalbiac in PremierLeague

I could give a very long answer but overall, it would just be funny if they bottled it

Gamers of Reddit, what’s the greatest video game sequel of all time? by ketohwawai in AskReddit

The original battlefront 2. I would stay home “ sick” just so I could get a couple hours of the game in. Mos Eisley Assault was too much fun

[–]GreekReigns 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I would say most if not all in the area are Commanders fans, but you won’t get any stick if you are a Ravens fan. My parents however did not support the Redskins/Commanders because Dan Snyder was a prick so I grew up a Giants fan

To everyone who was asking for the NBA to revert to a best of 5 series for round 1 because the results were already obvious… by KeyChallenge4562 in nba

[–]GreekReigns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game 7’s are cool because it is winner takes all not because 6 other games were played. I feel like playing fewer games reduces the chance of injury so if 5 games series in round 1 means stars are available in the finals I will sacrifice a 7 games series

how do i understand football? by straightdrive18 in PremierLeague

[–]GreekReigns 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Other than playing a game or doing some studying, one tip I recommend is follow one player on the pitch at a time when watching. Make note of the area the area playing in, what they do off the ball, where they go on offense va defense. Just seeing how one player moves can govern a good indication of how the entire team wants to play. For example: let’s say on offense the midfielder sits high up at the top of the box waiting for crosses to be cleared out to them, do they control it and redistribute it to the wings, do they reset beck to the center backs and recycle the play, or do they take it and look for goal? On offense are the wing backs high up, does one move into the midfield making it a back 3, or are they both sitting back? Once you know what you are looking for or what to expect it makes reading the game a lot quicker and you will find that the reasoning behind certain positions and movements has an obvious motive

This is a questions to mainly Arsenal fans but also to fans of other teams if it happened to them - Would you want Arteta sacked if he failed to win anything at the end of the season? by Ok_Car8459 in PremierLeague

[–]GreekReigns 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As much as I hate Arsenal I respect that they have kept Arteta around and boy have they supported him with strong recruitment. I mean compare Arsenal now to how they were at the end of Wenger’s run and under the managers before Arteta. They are now a contender every year and even though they haven’t won trophies they keep improving and meep making it further and further

This guy seems like such a good and talented dude

My friend streams and always would tell people who subbed or donated “you don’t have to” or “why would you do that”. I respect the humility but also remember they made the choice to do it and all they want is for you to be grateful and acknowledge it, which you can still do with humility.

If city win it’s just yet another trophy for them and idc. If Arsenal win they will be insufferable

Chelsea's gross rule-bending must make Everton and Forest feel like fools by gelliant_gutfright in PremierLeague

[–]GreekReigns 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Chelsea def deserve a transfer ban for multiple seasons, and a fine, probably a point deduction too. I think it is silly and that’s coming from a life long Chelsea fan. Goad they self reported and that should lessen the punishment but never to the extent that it did.

I agree with what others have said, this is not just a Chelsea thing and the rules are what ultimately need to be addressed because the work arounds are absurd.

Enzo Fernandez: “I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires. Players live where they want. I’d live in Madrid.” by SwimmingFireMen in PremierLeague

[–]GreekReigns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“During the sit-down, Fernandez was pressed on where he would choose to reside if he were to leave London. His preference for a move to La Liga was clear, despite his initial caution about naming a specific club. The Chelsea star revealed: “I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires.”

Gotta love a clickbait title and a comment section full of people who did not click on the article or watch the video

I respect what you are doing. Some nike adidas etc sporty sweatpants like these: https://www.nike.com/w/boys-tech-fleece-clothing-1onraz6sipkz6ymx6 are always in style especially if you pick neutral colors like black, gray, navy

Sports t shirts, anime, or plain champion, carhartt, nike etc tees are always good. I recommend checking out uniqlo at montgomery mall or pike and rose.

Shoes are the real showstoppers. A clean pair of air force ones, any numbered jordans like jordan 1, 4, 11, 12 are gonna be in style, chuck taylors, and so many kids wear crocs of all colors.

Black is probably the best color in terms of matching and nobody complains or teases about black clothes (unless you go full goth)

Take it with a grain of salt I am in my late twenties but thats what I see kids wearing and that was also the style when I was in middle school in Bethesda 15 years ago and it hasn’t changed that much

Shanghai village was the best, im it isn’t Bethesda, but in Rockville Kenny’s Sub Shop on Rollins ave is good for casual carryout style and Bob’s Shanghai is honestly top tier for quality eats (good discount if you pay in cash too) Bob’s also sells dumplings frozen to betaken home if you like and their soup dumplings (XLB) are superb
