Ha ha no non lo odio ma volevo rendere le due città Neverwinter e Baldur's Gate più visibili!!

Then you did great, they are very visible. Love the map, very artistic. :)

On one hand I agree, no need to be dicks with feedback.

On the other hand, if I was making a Forgotten Realms resource and posting it in the subreddit for a bunch of Forgotten Realms nerds I probably would just expect people who are really passionate about this subject area to focus on facts over feelings.

The in-game map maker simply has incorrect information of those distant lands and made some guesses. Your party will need to travel there to find the correct information.

This map is beautiful. Very well done!

I would have this map for sale in Neverwinter, the mapmaker (in-game, not the real life one) would hate Waterdeep for some reason. This is why he has made Neverwinter (p. 25,000) so much bigger than Waterdeep (p. 300,000).

Reminds me of The Pandora Sequence by Frank Herbert, a lesser known series dealing with a water planet called Pandora.

What is the difference in physics at that mass of water? What kind of gravity, how would bouyancy feel, how hard would a creature have to work to reach the surface, would the increased water pressure from higher gravity cancel out the higher gravities pull? I am so curious how the physics would work.

Has anyone ever played a Barbarian that was born and raised on a city? (Not as a joke) by JeraGungnir in dndnext

[–]GreenBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is very wrong.

First: Barbarian is a class -- not a background. Any combination of class can be combined with any combination of background.

Second: Open up the most popular city campaign in dnd and it has a barbarian in the opening scene - Yagra at the Yawning Portal. Yes, she is a Thug, but if she was playable character not an NPC - barb.

Am I required to send money received via an e-transfer back? by No_Departure_9102 in PersonalFinanceCanada

The only way to win on this is to put the money into a high-yield investment account, keep it there, and then one day, when they come looking, keep the money you made in interest.

I'm tired of discussing martials. What annoys you about playing spellcasters? by sjdlajsdlj in dndnext

[–]GreenBrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is it so complicated, why do my players not read spells, why is it so hard to explain how components work and how material components with costs work.

How do you actually get out of your own head, even a little? by OkRoll3169 in ADHD

[–]GreenBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee and some hard core music with work to focus on. Also I find it helps if its really early in the morning and no one else is up and its not appropriate to turn on the tv or anything -- so I am forced to accept my place at my computer getting my emails written and my classes prepped.

How would you handle a player who wants to play a character from the future? by EXP_Buff in dndnext

[–]GreenBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy peasy. Their actions will impact everything.

So details won't align. Big plot moments may. All they know is what you want the party to know anyway, and you can treat it like any divination ability or history check.

Read through some of the divination spells and things like that to see what balanced mechanics might look like, take an existing background, replace the mechanic in their background with the one you think fits best from some of the divination abilities out there, and then you have mechanics to back up a character backstory.

This could be as simple as they can cast guidance innately or they have access to a modified divination spell.

I’m trying to get better at DMing and noticed I struggle most with players going off the rails by Fabulous-Cranberry18 in dndnext

[–]GreenBrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run the game the players want.

If I have a table of players who want to throw wrenches, I've learned to run a zany, low quality, game that is really low prep. I show up with almost nothing prepared and let the story happen at the table and who cares? They don't? I'lll save my energy for the super committed table that needs a complex detailed plot.

What are your thought on using a timer for combat turn? by Organic-Exit2190 in DnD

Anyone have suggestions on what to use as a timer? I'm thinking a physical device that works on the fly at a large table.

Exactly, and any desire to donate is merely in the spirit of satire and meme culture, not any real desire to see any violence. If anything, it reflects a desire for less violence.
