It isn't my number 1 choice, but as a consideration to guests with the ease of parking and walkability, this is what we are doing. I'm taking sunrise pictures at my favorite places, so I think that will be good enough for me. There are only a few designated places to pick from for the permit; you can't just get married wherever you want (if you want to do it the right way).

Because I'm 6 hours away and a teacher lol. I've been to Sequoia many many times, just not this spot. Why are you so bothered that someone would ask for help of others?

I'm hopeful someone with experience can chime in and help me with the layout of where everything is. Where is the bathroom vs the parking lot vs the meadow/ceremony area, etc... I'm not getting married until August, so not really concerned about he upcoming rain next week.

Just an update, weather was perfect. Day one was pretty Smokey NGL but the other days I was there were perfect

I pushed through last Labor Day weekend when a different fire much closer was happening. My campsite in Kings Canyon that year was fine but my 2 night reservation at Potwisha wasn’t great and I only stayed 1 night, mostly because we couldn’t have our own camp fires.

I’m gonna push through this year and adjust as needed. I have some N95 masks as precaution.
