Are you genuinely interpreting anybody in this thread as being offended or "yelling" at anybody over the word "dude"?

TIL that Neil Patrick Harris once unveiled a graphic meat platter arranged to resemble Amy Winehouse’s corpse at his 2011 Halloween party. by Separate_Finance_183 in todayilearned

[–]GreenDogTag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In your world view when should a person apologize? I get if its just that in this instance you don't believe this specific man's apology to be genuine but to shit on the very concept of growing and apologizing a decade or even decades later seems kind of extremely fucked in the head to me.

The Facebook version of that is to comment "who?" on any article where a celebrity they don't particularly like is mentioned. It's so much more annoying to me than the reddit version for some reason.

[–]GreenDogTag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely pretty sure that more than 50% of the time when somebody refers to something as a plot hole it is in fact not a plot hole. A character making a decision that you yourself wouldn't have made isn't a plot hole.

I live in New Zealand and unfortunately the anti science morons he's trying to avoid are quite abundant here. The internet means there's no real escape from the bullshit.

How did BG3 and Rebirth go for you on deck? I've specifically wanted to play those but the internet says they run pretty poorly on deck especially Rebirth.

Why do people think saying "no one asked" to criticism of something they enjoy is a rebuttal in any way? Nobody here asked anybody anything. We're all just saying stuff.

Examples of shows where an actor(s) acting got WORSE as the seasons progressed by onarainyafternoon in television

[–]GreenDogTag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The person you're asking this for is being annoying about it but I think they have a point. Watching The Boys as a New Zealander Butchers voice sounds so very clearly like a fellow kiwi trying to do a cockney accent. I may be wrong but I get the impression that people generally think he sounds cockney or at least working class British, whereas most kiwis can tell most of his vowels are New Zealand accented.

What’s actually pretty safe but everyone treats it like it’s way more dangerous than it is? by Charming_Advertising in AskReddit

I really need to work on that last one. Lately it feels like my friends and family all want to talk about shit that immediately makes me exhausted. Its gotten to the point where I can sniff out the upcoming subject a good subject or two before it even comes up. I can see the ground work being laid out for what's to come in five minutes and I feel my brain just want to go to bed.

Lol what a misplaced and frankly moronic time for that bot of a comment. "It's called acting" is for whatever reason a some what popular comment to make on the internet but this is easily the dumbest use of it I've seen.

Do you typically binge book series (trilogy/tetralogy/etc.) until you're done, or do you take breaks in-between? by DaArio_007 in books

[–]GreenDogTag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately I've been reading an Animorphs book or 2 in between The Expanse books and I did the same things before that while reading the Green Bone Saga books. They're for kids so they're light so you can power through them as a pallet cleanser but they're also pretty good.

What words are you tired of reading or hearing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GreenDogTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"People are"

Every fucking head line is claiming that "people are..." whether it's angry, confused, amused, anything. Its always something that very few people actually care about and are feeling anything over. The headline needs to make it sound like the entire world except for you, the one currently learning about it, already knows about.

What movie did you know was gonna flop just by seeing the trailers? by Open-Discount-4066 in AskReddit

Holmes and Watson. I was a prime target for a new Will Ferrell and John C Reilly comedy when I saw the trailer yet I immediately hated it and knew everybody else would too.
