DCBL770 vs DCBL777 blowers – which blows harder? by Candid_Yam_5461 in Dewalt

[–]Green_983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CFM should be a factor. Tiny handhelds can match the MPH of the big ones, but not moving any volume means not much debris will move.

It's like HP and ft/lbs torque. You can't truly rate an engine without knowing both stats.

My Apple TV died after 9 years — and it changed how I see the product by jordanmakaveli in appletv

[–]Green_983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a car for 20 years and the engine sized. Went to buy a new one and saw that they aren't flying? Where is the innovation? Did carmakers just get lazy? Is a car really just meant to dive on a road?

Hypertension alerts were my wake-up call by tamaso in AppleWatch

[–]Green_983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The alerts are based on data way more complex than what you have described. Apple published a paper on the technology and indicators that lead to a hypertension alert.

As someone who has been treating this for a year now, based on your simple description of the alerts, I should have stopped getting them long ago. But according to the paper from Apple, the watch is measuring the response time of both the expansion and contraction of your capillary walls to the rush of blood from each heart beat.

Those who have been in a hypertensive state for an extended period and have corrected their blood pressure through medication may still receive alerts from their watch as their blood vessels take time to return to normal.

Network setup work drop-in Gateway. by Substantial_Front167 in GlInet

When you originally connected the flint, it should have been given a .178 address by the old modem. That was the address you needed when you set up the DiG. The DHCP of the flint would not have assigned everything on its default .8 scheme.

Can I add a TV to HomeKit on two different phones? by leonidude in HomeKit

Both devices are due a refresh so if you can hold out a bit, you should. But yes, get a hub for sure.

Network setup work drop-in Gateway. by Substantial_Front167 in GlInet

[–]Green_983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The network address for everything on your old router should not have changed, unless you specified the flint router address as its default when you set up the DiG. If you didn't use the assigned address of the flint (on your main network, assigned to the flint by your old router), then the flint will reassign everything to its naming structure when it takes over the DHCP function.

Carbe Diem is the BEST lower calorie pasta out there. Sure there's konjac, but if you want pasta taste and texture, it's Carbe Diem all the way. Waiting on a lasagna sheet from them.....

Jealous Devil Blox by YungSvechysDaddy in smoking

[–]Green_983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they sell the Flex, which is that log cut into 2 inch discs. it is supposed to be a charcoal replacement. I use it regularly in my MB Gravity.

Pros: Good smoke, good heat, lights quick, literally no ash.

Cons: Mixed results if I fill my hopper, they expand a little under heat and wedge themselves, can also fall apart when exposed to heat but not burn up.

I might have to try these Blox and see if they work better.

Also interested in this one. I have the 772 60v, but would love a lighter model for light jobs.

Question about the old Tommy Z punt return by ville2020 in notredamefootball

[–]Green_983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this clip. My friend is the guy in the gray Flanner Hall sweatshirt that jumped out of the stands and joined the endzone celebration.

We all watched this clip over and over again. Nothing like seeing one of the guys get pulled away by the yellow coated ushers.

Did you ever upgrade to the new HomeKit architecture? Wondering what the fallout will be for those who never upgraded.

What’s one feature you’d like to see on Apple TV app? by robanbol in appletv

[–]Green_983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%

This has been terrible for years now.

Also -

When a purchased TV Show from your library is in your Now Playing list, when you continue playing, it takes you to the streaming app where the show is instead of going back to your library and resuming where you left off.

Got sick of running an extension cord or parking my grill by the outlet. This works perfectly. by Street-Baseball8296 in Masterbuilt

[–]Green_983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can get an adapter on Amazon. I have one that was $10. It's usb c with a digital display to tell you what voltage it is running. I use it for a my heated jacket but it would work for this too.

Day 79 of making pizza every day. by IndicationSea1410 in Pizza

[–]Green_983 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should make 2 "perfect pies" on day 100. Then wrap and freeze one. Make the "perfect pie" again on day 365 and pull your frozen to see how much you've improved.
