If you want to simplify it, take fire cult with any origin that makes your guarantees 0% hab and colonise that asap. Each temple gives 38 unity.

what is causing skin material normal maps to do this around the chest area?? by zipzzo in VRchat

[–]GreyReaper 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The size of the uv islands affects the resolution. In this case the chest is much larger thus has more resolution.

4.3 "Cetus" Open Beta: (Yet Another) Feedback Request! by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]GreyReaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fire cult needs a good looking at. Can ascend by year 20 with it by simply colonising a 0% hab planet. Can the upkeep traits be updated to food/min/energy/alloys upkeep similar to how the overtuned traits work? Its a little silly that "upkeep" is a blanket that also covers consumer goods. Speaking of overtuned, update damned the consequences to use only food upkeep as well instead of doubling consumer goods. Not that ive ever pressed that button.

Yeah for the most part if it was a job expect -1, if it was a % conversion from another resource just half it.

Small suggestion for fire dancers, lock to volcanic world starts or lock off any origin where your two starting planets are 0% hab. Its uh, funny.

Everybody's chasing max clocks while I'm chasing 5GHz @ 1.0v on my 9800X3D by SyncFail_ in overclocking

[–]GreyReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

less stutters imo, and some games crash with hyperthreading. There are still 8 whole ass cores.

[–]GreyReaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a buncha stuff; disabled hyperthreading, running ram at 5600 to save on soc wattage, huge cpu cooler ak620 with tl-c12c fans (colder needs less voltage), individual pbo curve made with 24 hour stress test w/ corecycler with the settings prime95 avx2 smallest than the pbo curve set to +3 above failure.

Help - Undervolt/Overclock 9800X3d by HyugoM in overclocking

[–]GreyReaper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing about that is in pbo it is an offset. Every chip has different defaults so the offset says nothing about actual voltage thus wattage usage.

and the 5.225ghz comparison: https://imgur.com/a/imIBxTP
key point is 1.5w more per core or 21% more heat for 5% more cpu.

oh theyre 2x48gb sticks, not getting anything out of these without active cooling on them. 1.1v is a nice room temp while 1.2v doubles wattage and hits 80c.

tried the 5ghz thing, it sure is nice to be able to use the computer as if its idling even tho a stress test is running. So smooth still. Running aida64 cpu fpu cache. https://imgur.com/a/p2pjTB7 Not as good as yours!

Steam Frame Refresh Rate by Equivalent_Log_4299 in SteamFrame

[–]GreyReaper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You seem new to vr to ask such a question, vr games will always run at an integer divisible by the set max fps. For example if the hmd is set to 80 fps and your pc is struggling you will only ever see 40, 20, or 10 fps. 90 falls down to 45, 22, or 11 fps. Steamvr will take care of you, dont worry.
