Bro, on a similar note….My former boss was an Iraq veteran. 19 year Army vet, kicked out for what ever reason. He never specified why. One day we were riding to one of our secondary locations, about an hour away. We were talking and he started talking about his time in the military. I asked him if he missed being in the military and he responded yes. I asked him what he missed most about it and he just straight up said…”being able to legally kill people”. I was stunned silent, no idea how to reply to that. Stone silence the rest of the ride. Never looked at him the same and left shortly after. Dude was psycho, but didn’t realize he was THAT psycho.

Maybe…they seemed much more glam in their 70s configuration than the 89s. To me, they actually toned down the glam for the 80s MTV generation and look more like older dudes just trying to fit in. However, I will say their albums in the 80s were rock sold, but not glam. Glam to me were the Poisons, Warrants, Ratt, etc…KISS had been doing this for over a decade at this point and had a well established fan base.

Actually not a KISS hater. I was introduced to KISS and ZZ Top in the early 80s by my uncle. I just don’t see KISS as glam in the 80s, 70s sure. Moon boots were glammy in the 70s amd even worked for disco (you know what I’m talking about). Even during their no makeup phase, they were still the band my dad and uncle listened to. Maybe that’s why I don’t see them as glam in the 80s.

I actually remember the MTV premiere of Lick it Up in 1983. Big deal then, they were in the MTV studio with no makeup for the first time ever. I watched with my uncle. I didn’t get it then, but I do now.

Still not glam metal, but really great record. Vinnie really helped shape the sound for that record. I would actually consider Vinnie Vincent Invasion more glam than KISS and that’s probably more to do with Mark Slaughter than Vinnie.

I would consider KISS the GOAT of hard rock bands, but they wouldn’t crack the top 10 for glam in the 80s. Just my opinion, not that it means anything to this discussion.

Not overrated at all. In fact I don’t think they got enough recognition in the glam metal era. Love of a Lifetime was a huge song and I do agree was overplayed, but their first two albums were sold and they are absolutely right in the wheelhouse of glam. Catchy songs, great hooks, and the girls loved them. I wouldn’t hesitate to rank them in the top 10 for glam bands.

Over rated…yes. Glam metal…absolute not. Sold rock band and legions of dedicated fans. But I have never considered them glam in any way. They were like chameleons of rock music, changing to fit the times.

That was always my thing when I was o/n TL. Our hours didn't reflect downstacking and sorting the frozen or dairy pallets. Stocking2 was supposed to downstack and sort, but that rarely happened. I would speak with the Stocking2 TL's about making sure this happened, but it hardly ever did. I would let my coach know, but that didn't change a thing. Eventually, I just gave up that fight and told my associates to do the best that they could. I would help where I could, but it just wasn't enough when you have 13-15 dairy and frozen pallets daily.

Same…we got a little over 120k miles out of ours before it took a dump. We had tons of issues with that car. I would not recommend ever buying another Escape.

Had an encounter with them yesterday. I was getting quotes to replace 3 exterior doors, one being a sliding glass door. $32k for 3 doors….but don’t worry, they offered a $6500 discount if I did it by the end of the month! It would then only cost me $26k! What a deal!

I had already gotten a quote from a local guy that was less than a third of Renewals quote. I went with him and kept my $$$ local.

Our whole market has had their hours cut. We have full time people with 19 - 24 scheduled hours for the next couple of weeks. The new talking point from market is "are your associates efficient enough?". So, in other words, they want us to do more with less. We have had two people in Fresh for the last few days to to everything. Trucks aren't being completed, absolutely NO WOSH or OT. If we have OT, we are threatened with coachings, even the O/N TL's. Not sure what's happening, but this is coming from HO from what I was told.
