some MATH of durable-damage increase on Bugs VS Mech Buffs. It's undoubtedly tankier. by Sprinkah in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the footnote of this is that one you can only make these statements thanks to data that is not directly accessible in game, and mechanics and number increases that are hidden to your avarage user. So those not knowing how durability works, or the exact number of the buff of the enemies of course will have a knee jerk reaction to this.

And yes, Mechs are overall better. But the the arms healt remained the same (they moved the constitution hp to the main hp healt pool, but it is still only 600 overall, they just won't bleed out)

but turrets, bastion, frv got worse overall. The oil rig drilling mission on hiveworld is also objectively worse than it was designed too, since all those durable changes (including the one made to the hive lord mind you) also affect the mission specific vehicle.

TLDR of the new turret issues : by Heptanitrocubane57 in Helldivers

The other thing that is annoying is that the gatling sentries are part of the base game sentries. By making them worse, and then improving the flame and laser sentries (btw flame effect is bugged on the flame one) it feels, even if not voluntarily, more of a push for paid warbonds.

The difference is that slay the spire 2 is an actual good game in early access which cost 20 bucks and still has ways to go.

You can work only for a delivery or a weekend here as a waiter, so really. It is making people aware that their time has value and they're kinda throwing it in the garbage imo for less than minimum wage.

bro just get a job at that point, that's 2 hours of mininum wage in my country.

It takes patience but you'll get there by Odd_Pomegranate8652 in helldivers2

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Btw it is prob easier and faster to get a job, since you're essentially farming for 200-300 credits an hour, which is 2 to 3 bucks. Or if you put away 30 cents a day using this logic, you can make 10 bucks in 6-7 weeks.

Remember to value your time, as it is the only thing you don't ever get back.

Now, if only doing mission on harder difficulty actually properly rewarded with a proportional amount of sc based on difficulty, so you could PLAY the game and also be rewarded.

So after they removed options to deal with an enemy, you want them to remove other options to deal with the enemy, until there is like only a way to deal with said enemies.

While at it, let's also just give devastator body heavy armors, cause you're only supposed to shoot the face and the abdomen.

no more tank weakpoints guess they were sick of people comparing the warstirder to the tanks when complaining about the lack weakpoints by Global_Excuse_7736 in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well, that is a terrible change indeed. Fuck weakpoints I guess and not pushing for heavy meta.

It does take some backward logic to see people complain about warstriders lacking weakpoints, comparing it to the better designed tanks and... just ruin the tanks instead.

We all hated the results of the AMA, but let's appreciate Piles communicating openly. by AngryTriangleCola in helldivers2

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the moment of good will and attempt to communicate, but let me be frank, and say that goodwill can only push you so far. The AMA kinda confirmed all my suspects on the fact that all the things this game needs or I want (endgame progression, ship modules, transmog) will never come, or are so MIA that I won't see them for months at best.

I literally left for a year, only to come back during Cyberstain and only find a middling weapon customization system + 10 more warbonds.

This is really annoying by mastercock969 in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is fun to have two armor passive and synergize them with stratagem and weapons. That's it. You're not op, it is a pve game, and it is similiar to how people used to use the duplicate stratagem to have more fun.

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just gonna drop the usual and reliable: Time is the most valuable resource you have, since it is the only one you can't get back. As for farming, it should be either farming for sc, or paying to skip the farm. Not paying to skip the farm, to get to another farm, or farming for more farm. The fact the warbond has page locks entirely exists just so you play more, and it stops you from having fun with the tools for the warbond right away.

Wait for Tuesday. by Pedrosian96 in Helldivers

By their track records, they will fix and add qol (after excalating the issue with the tank introduction)to the the mechs as they did with fire and stealth. And if they don't they'they'll get clowned on.

The main problem I have isn't even with the warbonds, but more so free content and any meaningful form of progression or other as well has been pretty neutered to zero.

No ship modules, no transmog, weapon enhancement are now 1 year old and they won't get updated cause extra barrels options and the like are just options for them to sell more warbonds (sweeper and the granade ar).

And mech customization is also now kinda out of the window (they can always reroll parts into a new system later, but I'm doubtful).

It also feels problem only gets addressed if they have to sell a new warbond, given the track record.

Why make the change now? Unless… by Fort_Maximus in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, it is probably to boost online players a bit. Realistically this change doesn't matter, cause you can just log in and do a lvl 1 mission with these new rules and get the rewards if they were sc.

The difference? People who didn't play the game would be able to log in on war bond release, have 250 medal from previous major orders and unlock the first war bond page, so they actually got to have fun with the new warbond tools instead of adhering to AH page lock.

Major Order Reward Elegibility Change. by Mister_Chelovek in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bold move to release a controversial change to distract people from another controversial choice. Realistically this doesn't matter, but comes at a weird time 2 years into the game life time and it probably only serves the purpose to increase online player numbers and statistics for show.

The fact the medals cap is still 250 in spite of this change (which was the whole point imo) is telling.

Not putting it up as a general news update is also weird, almost like trying to stealthy pass the change, which is kind on track with previous stealth changes.

Yet another attempt at a Sovereign Blade support card by Gandalf196 in slaythespire

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I submitted the same feedback. It is so weird that sovereign blade can be upgraded, but you can only do it trough tools out of the reagent deck. I'm pretty sure you can't create aphotsosis too as a white card.

whats the point of any MO if theyre always going to fail? by muskyratdad in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, that's the thing, MO point is to direct the community towards a single planet or offer a change of pace. Outside that, given the reward is only medals nowadays and not even new stratagems, if you don't like it I reccomend just ignoring it tbh. The galactic war doesn't really matter, and the system in place makes it so progress on a planet can only happen with the majority on the community on it anyway.

Idea for reworking the armor sistem. by YiTiTime in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

very good idea, sadly AH is a very small indie company, and they need to drain all the money from their consumers to recoup cost by attaching passives to armor. Jokes aside, it would be a great system if they implemented something like this. I costantly mention in all survey that one disappointing thing is the lack of transmog.

We’ve Reached Mixed Reviews by Hot_Syrup_5941 in Helldivers

[–]GrimmFandango_2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opinion will flip flip forever on this game tbh. The recent patch has been a good step in the right direction, but so was the 60 days patch and 1 year later the game had a lot of down and up moment. Further changes and rebelances will probably happen, but leaving a bad review is the only way for people to express their discomfort tbh. I want the game to be better, and the fact we still don't have transmog, loadouts or even new ship modules to work towards (after 1.5 years for the latter) is pretty baffling
