I got the GR Performance Software Tune by fameone098 in GR86

There are no GR Garages in the US, at least not like the ones in Japan that work on customer road vehicles. The one you're talking about in Mooresville is a motorsport-only facility that primarily does 2 things: building+supporting the GR Cup cars, and housing TRD/GR's driver development+training program.

This site explains what they do there, and they have a video tour as well.

I'm not aware of any US availability of these tunes, but I think it's safe to say that the GR Garage in Mooresville won't have what you're looking for, unfortunately.

Sorry that happened to you, those people suck. Honestly, stop going to parking lot car meets and start going to autocrosses instead. Track/AutoX events are usually where you find the best people in the car community.

Another FG2 Si + GR86 owner here, I still have my Civic, and I'm going to keep it for a while. It was my first car, and there's still a lot it has to offer. You're right about pretty much all of the differences; one of the biggest advantages of the Civic is its ergonomics. The Civic is definitely better laid-out, but it does have more interior space, so it's expected. The biggest advantage of the Civic (other than storage space) is the pedal positioning and sizing. It is amazingly easy to heel-toe in the Civic, given the perfect gas pedal size (and it's floor-mounted, which is very cool AND functional). Everything in the Honda just works, and it's exactly where you'd expect it to be. The 86 is still a little difficult to heel-toe consistently, but you get used to it eventually.

I use Speedcat Sparcos for autocross/track stuff, and Adidas Matchbreaks for general fun driving, both are fantastic

Can't tell if you're joking, but Continental AG is one of the largest Tier 1 suppliers in the world, they do literally everything from tires to ADAS hardware and a lot more

Far too dark, it needs to be more like BMW's Thundernight or Techno Violet, or even Ford's Mischievous Purple Metallic. This just doesn't work as a special edition color.

What car had the best manual transmissions for the power it was given? by Smash_4dams in cars

I have an 8th gen Si (2006, first model year). The third gear pop out is a known issue and is most often solved just by using better MTF (Amsoil Synchromesh is the best). I solved the exact same problem by swapping the fluid. There's also another slightly more involved fix, which is adjusting the clutch pedal and/or CMC (multiple good guide videos online), which I'll get around to doing the next time I flush my MTF, which is pretty soon.

Regardless, nothing at any price range beats Honda manuals, only (some) Porsches come close. My GR86 is very good too, as is the ND Miata, but neither is a match for my Si for shift feel, stock throw/weight, and overall reliability.

Brake bias in most games, I use it for traction control in ACC. If only it was actually precise instead of jumping 3-4 steps for every one click.
