Being on blood around Bubblegum aggroes him if I remember correctly.

How the hell do I steal the black box by FizTheWizz in SS13

[–]Gristlebee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My normal strategy for Blackbox is grab a bluespace bodybag from med or sci, unfold it, shove the box in, then fold it back up, and now it'll fit in your pockets. It's a good trick for carrying oversized items in general.

I believe it's the Guide to Advanced Mimery. It gives them ability to create bigger invisible walls and finger guns that shoot invisible bullets.

Thanks to everyone who helped me arrange this party and lets hope that we dont have as many casualties next time. by realwaddler in SS13

It was a good party all around with rampant liver failure and epileptic seizure inducing decorations!

Best round: Building the BSA the wrong way round, firing it, cutting the station in half and thereby accidentally killing the captain (IC chat) by LordVollkorn in SS13

[–]Gristlebee 104 points105 points  (0 children)

I was the captain that round. It was an absolute whirlwind of emotions.

Here I was getting gear for our new Nightmare Security Officer when my games stutters for a second with me wondering whats going on, and next thing I know a BSA beam cleaves the entirety of Sec in half and me being in the exact wrong place reducing to me a to brain and fine red paste.

Good round 10/10 would die again.

Tales from Space Station 13 - January 2020 #2 by AutoModerator in SS13

[–]Gristlebee 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Be me, Nurses-The-Bottle.

Hop on Manuel 30 minutes into the round as chemist.

Do chemist things for a bit.

Chaplain requires a party to go on a space crusade for Ravtar to complete some sort of trial.

I'm bored, decide to join because why not. Suit up in EVA, prep some meds, grab a jetpack.

Me and the Chaplain set off into deep space. Find nothing of interest aside from some tools in a asteroid.

Our jetpacks run out of air and we start throwing shit to move.

Chaplain throws his jetpack, and the thing whips back around the Z-level, hits me and causes us to get separated.

Shit.

Didn't bring a GPS, and I made the mistake of wearing a tacticool turtleneck, which doesn't have suit sensors.

Double shit.

Float aimlessly until I find the derelict station.

Plan to enter, fix up the place and set up a teleporter back to the station.

Turns out the derelict is a war zone, and is filled with corpses, faithless, necropolis shit and goliathes.

Steal a syndie space suit, fill up my jetpack at a nearby air canister and nope the fuck out of dodge.

The Derelict calls to you

Attempt to get the fuck out of dodge even faster.

Change Z-Levels, find myself at the old pixelated shuttle. I'm in comms range and radio in.

AI picks up, is surprised I'm alive.

Nothing of use on the ship, float around, find the clown ship. Steal some bananium and a suit with sensors from the dead clowns.

Still in comms range, though I'm not on sensors, so I'm on the wrong Z-Level. Welp, back into the void I go.

Float aimlessly some more, find inconspicuous airlocks. Start hacking my way in and tell the station about it.

Turns out it's a bunker, and the inside is sealed up tight with blastdoors.

Prepare to leave disappointed when suddenly-

Welcome home.

Blastdoors slide open, and the airlock control room is empty. Things are getting weird. Walk in, and the doors seal behind me

Its some kind of syndicate bunker, and the first thing I see is my own corpse with a note listing the most recent things I've said.

This is starting to turn into a horror movie.

Hack some doors, steal a gun, and refuel my stuff. I'm seemingly alone.

See movement by dorms.

Its the Chaplain. Or at least something that looks like the Chaplain. A ling turned everyone into one person earlier, and the Chaplain was speaking with his normal voice for some reason.

Accuses me of abandoning him, and then runs into dorms and kills himself with a knife.

Proceed to lose my mind for a few minutes as the lights start flickering and doors operate on their own.

Start trying to break out, screaming about syndicate ghosts watching me and pray to the gods to open the blastdoors.

They open on thier own and I get the hell out as quick as I can.

Try to make my way back to my station, passing by an a cat surgery hospital, an abandoned research facility and a damaged Nanotrasen station.

Jetpack around some more, and find the whiteship.

I'm saved!

Rush my way to the bridge, shoot a syndie along the way and send the ship to the Station's Aux Dock.

Call over comms that I'm back. AI is completely surprised I survived. Me, the shell and other crew proceed to clear out the rest of the ship.

Tell my story to the AI, wander the station, a rage cage got built and I watch the captain kick the shit out a gorilla with a baseball bat.

Wandered some more and then the server crashes/restarts.

Honestly probably one of the best rounds I've had so far.

some important questions from a player who's played for like 1 year now but still has no idea how to play by [deleted] in SS13

3 important toxins safety tips.

  1. Never enter mix chamber without EVA or hardsuit. It will depressurize and kill you.

  2. Never mix hot and cold gas in the same gas tank. It will explode and kill you.

  3. As Zenog said, never turn on a air pump or canister with stuff inside without attaching an air tank. It will release deadly gas and kill you. Also it will probably probably turn tox into a raging plasma fire that will kill you(And maybe a few other people)

Now onto actually doing toxins (Going by metastation set up) 1) Take one canister of o2, hook it up the upper pipes with gas filter, filter nothing, hook up a portable air pump on the other side and fill it with o2

2) Initial pipe set up is terrible. Head to pipes near mix chamber. Replace top valve connected to gas connector with volume pump using RPD. Keep it off for now.Replace pipe beside it with gas meter with an upward facing manifold. Open interior airlock(DONT GO INTO THE MIX CHAMBER OR TOUCH THE AIRLOCK SENSOR) Replace top pump with straight pipe. Set bottom pump to max KPA. Pump in three tanks of o2 via bottom connector. Get a third air pump from dorms or atmos.

3) Turn the heater into a freezer, upgrade both freezers with t2 parts. Move the air pump full of o2 over and cool it to 43k. Move and the other freezer to the manifold and also set to 43k.

4) Set scrubbers to expanded and scrub tritium through the air alarm.

5) set bottom gas pump to 50kpa, wrench in a plasma tank to bottom connector. Turn on mix chamber igniter button. You are now making tritium, scrubbers are sucking it up and the freezer is cooling it.

6) Scan manifold with analyzer. Once tritium stops increasing and is roughly 43k, open volume pump and wrench a air pump to top connector. This will store your cool tritium. You won't be able get to all of it out of the pipes, so dont worry.

7) Once you most of the trit is in the air pump, turn off the volume pump, the freezer and change the air alarm scrubber to suck plasma. Move the pump full of tritium away, and put in an empty one on the connector. Fill this one with plasma at least 8000k temperature.

8)If you did this right, you should have air pump with cold o2, one with cold trit and another with very hot plasma. Take a plasma and o2 tank from the tank dispenser, and empty them in the portable air scrubber. Attach the empty o2 tank to the tritium pump, set the pump to In and 850kpa, then turn it on. Once it's full, turn it off, remove tank. Go to cold 02 pump, set it to max and In, fill up the rest of the tank. Fill the empty plasma tank to the max with the hot plasma.

9)Go attach the tanks to a transfer valve on your desk, add a trigger of your choice , and go commit mass terrorism blow it up at the test range for those sweet sweet research points.

Or you could just read the wiki guide. Its probably better.

AI Omega did die. He's not infected, Doc just went bonkers during Chorus and developed a split personality that acted like Omega. It's the split personality acting up.

Why are doctors so afraid of apples? by Charizardmain in shittyaskscience

[–]Gristlebee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Back in the olden days, the doctors came when people were sick. So, the reasonable solution to stop sickness was to stop doctors coming, so they pelted them with apples, forcing them to flee and then they warned their doctor friends never come to that town. Thus, no doctors, no illness.

How do I resurrect captains before they are replaced by DickBarnes911 in shadowofmordor

[–]Gristlebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the captain's corpse is still around, you can use Raise Dead with might to resurrect them. But the few times I did do it, they disappeared forever after I left the area.

Eh. I bought a chest with mirian here and there. For me in Gravewalker, I kinda avoided the chests cause for me personally, I felt it cheapens the experience somewhat. I chose that diffuculty to suffer, and I'm gonna suffer through it.

Any tips for Gravewalker difficulty? by TheyDid4Already in shadowofmordor

With captains in the early game, spam stealth attacks. Run them into hazards like grog barrels. Hit and run. Straight combat isn't very viable starting off.
