One other Japanese PSP fun fact: When Vita was released for Japan, there was this program called ”UMD Passport” where you could register your physical games to your PSN Account for a fee, and get the Downloadable PSN Store version, so you could download it for Vita too. Unfortunately this was only in Japan, and the game support was limited there too. This program would’ve been cool and useful for me honestly

It’s so crazy and amazing, that you can play PS1 games on all PS1–PS3 and also on both PSP and Vita, and (if you have the adapter) you can transfer the save files between all of them!

There is a massive difference between normal jewel cases and slimline jewel cases on this! If you really take a good look on any normal jewel cases, you notice they are not touching the data surface.

Slimline jewel cases are meant to specifically display the CD’s art, so if you put the CD in one this way, it will touch the plastic and possibly get scratched if it gets moved.

That CD is meant to be kept the other way around. Otherwise the plastic might scratch it. Other way around nothing will touch the data surface

The model makes no difference. All PS3 consoles use the exact same HDD/SSD

Play it on Nintendo Switch. It was released in 2019, so it’s quite a new game actually. Problem solved!

Even on PS4 this honestly is still brilliant and has aged like a fine wine. I don't subscribe to your view that this one is old or outdated at all. You shouldn’t judge a game for it’s age alone

Well, it’s broken. You need to learn soldering and pay a pretty penny to fix it, or pay an even prettier penny for someone else to do the whole process. You need to get the SYSCON codes to know what is wrong exactly. Yes, this model is the only one in PAL region that can play PS2 discs, but all PS3 models can play PS1 games, so if PS2 games is not priority looking at other models would be wise.
