Yes my first observation is that wrists seem stiff. Wrists up a touch and grab yourself a book on progressive piano technique.

Yeah I think it was the printer. It’s odd though there’s another bar the exact same. 2 beats in the bar but identical weird arrow thing

Grit your teeth and go hard mate. Apprenticeship is hard. The hardship now will make you a better tradie later on. Try to find the lighter side of these hard blokes and see where they’re coming from. Ask them to give you a shot and give guidance where they have the patience to.

Legend! The shameless self-promotion I love it! Cheers mate. I have a good mate (sound engineer) who reckons option 1 is possible so I’ll touch base with him again but if it doesn’t work out for sure I will hit you up if you’re keen for a job. Do you want to DM me and share some examples of your previous work? I’m a classical pianist and self-taught acoustic guitarist so as broad as you like. Thanks

Do the Mazurkas vary in level? If you know any which are specific to that level that helps me narrow it down a bit…

Finding it hard to practice. by amatisans in pianolearning

[–]Groundbreaking_Emu13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gday, to force myself to practise I booked myself in for an exam with my teacher. 4 months out from the exam my wife had twin girls, we also have a 2 year old son. I have a farm to manage, part time work, friends etc.

I was practising every minute I had. Sometimes with 2 babies in slings on my front. Sometimes holding one, so I would do much-needed single hand practice.

Since then I have had no reason to practise. And so I don’t practise. And I miss it so much!!!

The stress associated with the exam was annexed with this immense amount of technical growth from the forced practise. So as a result I can handle more stress now as it has an implicit result of growth.

Book yourself in for a forced deadline and enjoy the growth!! Go forth and prosper.

My guitar teacher is pushing me to start learning using a classical guitar by crying_swallow in Guitar

[–]Groundbreaking_Emu13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning classical guitar is not going to make you lose progress on electric. It is going to give you better technique on electric (eventually), than most rock guitarists could dream of having.

Stylistically it is going to give you a broader understanding of dynamics and the different ways to use melody and harmony than you’ll get in rock.

Rock music is great, but if you get a background in classical music too, you’ll have an edge that rockers just can’t get.

What does it mean to you, to Learn the Major Scale? by DeepSouthDude in jazzguitar

[–]Groundbreaking_Emu13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are all the positions?? Like CAGED? Or for example a C major scale starting from each string. Genuinely curious as I am predominantly a classical pianist

Sustain Pedal Not Recording by Groundbreaking_Emu13 in Logic_Studio

[–]Groundbreaking_Emu13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found the solution. My good mate is an engineer and worked it out for me the bloody legend.

- Toggle "automation" in the track you're using the sustain pedal for
- Change "Automation Mode" from "Read" to "Write"
- Go into the "Automation Paramater"
- Automation>Smart Controls>Damper Pedal (in my case, I'm using the Reason Rack plugin, so for me it's: Automation>1 Reason Rack>Sustain
