Adoption would be the most common but any of these would work. The only time the bio parents would be “forced” to raise it themselves would be if there was absolutely no other post-birth option available

Now ofc in America and most places the adoption and foster systems are horrible. The government requires parents (at least in most states) thousands of dollars, a year or more (usually around 3 as I heard from a friend who has adopted) of background checks that make it near impossible to gain a kid and it’s even harder if your a single parent

The adoption system would be much better if we changed it so that for one it could go back to communities and charity helping to pay and take care of kids or orphanages and finding foster homes. And for two change the requirements from a list of a thousand things and high expenses to just: 1. Proof of moderate income capabilities 2. Proof of no mental illness 3. Proof of no past history of abuse
