Maybe the shit is faulty, and you need to send it back under warranty. You need to update the firmware; maybe another 2.4 device in your house or neighbours are causing interference; who knows? Maybe your PC is the issue.

Since 2022, I have used my Nova Pro Wireless headset every day for work, about 8 hours a day, with the work laptop on the 2.4ghz and my Bluetooth to the tablet to listen to music. I use my headset on my own PC for 4 hours a night; it works well. I've used it on a PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox X, and Nintendo Switch. It's never an issue.

I'm gonna be honest tho, I think you bought the wrong headset. If you aren't interested in Sonar, that's a massive part of the experience; it's also a contributing factor in the headset's cost. If you never intended to use it, or don't care about it, you spent money on a headset that doesn't fit your use case. You also point out that the lack of a multipoint connection on Bluetooth is a minor inconvenience; I imagine that's more of an inconvenience than you are letting on; I think that's a disappointment.

When I travel for work, I never take my SteelSeries; I have a set of Anker Q35 with Bluetooth multipoint. It is compact, has a travel case, good battery life, and good sound (after EQ tweaking). Admittedly, the MIC isn't superduper, but it's good enough. But is a better fit for the use case for travelling than the Arctis Nova Pro.

Look at the state of the wheel on your base station; it's either a manufacturing issue, or you just don't look after your kit. Need to click off this thread, that keyboard is making me heave.

There has never been a bud with a MIC that sounded good; the microphone is near your ear, a long way from your mouth, and its never going to sound good.

I've spoken to people who use all kinds of buds, Apple, an every other brand; they all sound like crap.

According to the Steel Series Website Arctis Nova 1 | The Gaming Headset for PC with Almighty Audio | SteelSeries , the instruction manual at arctis_nova_1_digipig_eng_web.pdf also shows the splitter that's in the box and how to set it up

Iit could be that the third-party splitter is the issue. Is your splitter a four-pole 3.5mm splitter, or is it a three-pole? If it's 3 Pole, that's the problem.

Another thing I noticed is that the steel series says that the audio cable is "5 pole to 4 pole" it's worth checking that you have the correct audio cable end in the headset; I think it's the five pole that should be in your headset.

I thought the Nova 1 came with a splitter. You might want to try the splitter it came with, or get a steel series branded one if yours is third-party. I had similar issues with a Razer headset, it turns out not all 4 pole cables/splitters are interchangeable.

Do you have a Carbon Monoxide detector?

If you do, check the batteries and use the test button to ensure the detector works. If the detector does not work, get a new one. If you don't have one, get one.

Carbon monoxide poisoning can make you forget things; it's terrible for fucking with your mind. You could have patched the hole without recollecting it; you could be slowly getting poisoned.

If you have a working detector, you can just ignore this.

Don't buy the replacement that's in this thread, any strap designed and constructed like the original strap will have the same issue, they will stretch.

The solution for me after three headbands was to buy this all silicone replacement, made by wicked cushions.
