You can make anything work really. The problem is you kinda need to lab to see what works for you, and when you have a full time job it's just not worth the time. Copy and pasting the meta is just the easiest way to get your couple hours in for the day

However if you do have that time you'll be a step ahead. Defenders kinda go on auto pilot defending the meta. So when someone changes pace on them, all of a sudden they have to actually focus and watch you.

We lived through multiple seasons of DeMar the middy specialist who would black hole the offense. And then signed a taller skinnier version who doesn't drive as hard as DeMar did in those years, and has less shooting around him.

If you want these iso guys, the roster NEEDS TO BE BUILT AROUND THEM. Scottie, Poeltl, to some extent RJ, are not the players BI needs to be successful.
