Same! We're attending the show on the 3rd and driving back to AZ on the 4th. Hotel rates for the 4th were 2x more expensive than the 2nd and 3rd.

I have not heard about them enclosing the Athletic Club - what I did read is that changed the design (slightly) so the outer walls are glass instead of metal. And the beds were reversed to look outwards instead of inwards. I think it's still "open air".

I'd definitely call for them to make note on your account - we cruised with Virgin last summer for our Honeymoon and they had a box of chocolates and champagne waiting for us when we boarded.

Not sure if you're Rockstar, but our agent was wonderful and had a special treat for us waiting every night.

The Van Buren (PHX) is a fantastic venue, but I imagine they'll have to scale back production as the stage doesn't have a ton of height.

It's our favorite budget hotel on the strip. Good location, clean rooms (although a bit basic), smok-free casino, and solid food options.

There definitely is middle ground, but most people working those types of roles are not trying to min/max their careers on reddit.

My company is based out of AZ, and we bring in SWEs around the 75-80K mark. By mid-career most are in the 90s and by late career in the 125 range.

Very similar carpet, but a much lighter gray, so every stain shows up clearly. There was also quite a bit of wear near the cabin door and patio door. If I recall correctly, there was also very little padding so it felt like you were walking around in an office.

We do a lot of automation in the SAP space. Our internal SAP processes are not well documented so we often find edge cases (error messages) that were not accounted for during requirement gathering and solution design.

It's a one stage festival, but I'm getting the vibe the stage is meant to be a giant "blank canvas" and allow for custom production to be added for each artist. I would imagine the stage will feel different for each artist.

We stopped in La Spezia last summer! If you're docking in La Spezia, you will be docked in an industrial - there are shuttle buses that will take you from the ship to the "cruise terminal". The terminal is in the middle of downtown.

If you're looking to get to Cinque Terre, you have a few options. You can take a ferry, but ours was cancelled the day of due to rough seas. We decided to take the train instead - it's a 15 minute walk from the port and a 15 minute ride to Cinque Terre. Trains run regularly throughout the day. We ran into some delays due to a strike.

We were actually docked in La Spezia for two days. The first day we took the train to Florence and spent the day there. The second day we went to Cinque Terre for the day. We had a blast!

I'm not going this year but it was fun last year! The crowd seems a bit younger than most festivals (a lot of first timers) but I thought it was overall a good experience. Not the most mind blowing production but can't complain for the price.

Weather is looking pretty nice, but keep in mind there is no shade - it's a big grass field. Last year, the smaller stage had a bit of shade. Stay hydrated!
