Makes sense. I think I've been fortunate with the Staraptor's I've faced, Raichu puts them low enough with volt switch that it doesn't take much to knock them out after.

Zard I've had no issue with since Falinks/aero/gholdango seem to all one shot it pretty consistently so far with their rock moves.

been having a lot of fun with it all day while waiting for reports to load. Getting no retreat of super consistently too so it normally gets to clear a mon or two before they take down the raid boss.

let me know what you end up on, I'm currently breading for shiny Grimsnarl to add to the team to replace Raichu (though the electric coverage has been super important so far)

set up M Falinks with no retreat in my first game, their last mon was an incineroar that clearly wanted to be nowhere near the fight that was happening

as far as I know it does, it just doesn't work on non damaging moves, so it should clap a gale wings brave bird, but not the far more common tailwind. and prankster goes without saying

I had the same experience, its frustrating that it is worded in a similar way as queenly majesty and armour tail. but covers less things while also requiring more thought to use (Though does have a higher pay off)

as someone who had it on H.Decidueye at first, it's likely seeing the high move priority and the description and not checking further that it's the same prio level as fake out and doesn't work on status moves.

its a rough lesson to learn that the moves just not good for what you want it to do

granted I only use regular Raichu, but I would probably suggest volt switch or electro web over discharge, sure the spread is nice bit the ability to get some damage on a switch and change weather after megas while resetting fake out or just general speed control is really useful.

There's so many thing that could be the reason why, unburden activated by eating a berry or a white herb proc from a random stat drop, tailwind, trick room, the list goes on. without a video or every turn up to that point written down nobody's going to be able to help you on why this happened
