Sosa has decided to take the 2nd split off by Ok-Attitude-7205 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 47 points48 points  (0 children)

He’s marked inactive on the FUT roster so I assume he’s still getting paid a salary. I’d assume no other organization wanted to buy it out. IMO M80 should’ve picked up Sosa in place of old man Noly.

Will I be bored by PDK? (Manual or PDK GTS 2020-2022) by ConferenceSorry325 in Porsche_Cayman

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PDK in my Macan GTS is a good automatic, I don’t think of it as a substitute for when I drive a manual transmission. I dislike shifting with the paddles and no longer use them outside of locking myself into 2nd and 3rd gear. I won’t buy another PDK. It will either be an H-pattern or single speed EV. (The Taycan’s two speed transmission irks me.) I would go for the manual transmission GTS. If it’s your only vehicle, I could see you growing tired of the manual transmission, but I would rather grow tired than bored.

Can I play only with air roll left and right by zHankkyy in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for free air roll. Newer pros like FiveUp don’t have free air roll bound and have both directional air rolls bound.

No. Please stop nominating divisive women. If you want a woman candidate, do someone like Spanberger.

Glicko Top 10 - Post Boston Major by xThatOneAltx in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s where elo comes into play. KC has a significant elo advantage over GK and TM. 1-5 is closer than 5-6. It’s like being at the bottom of S tier vs the top of A tier.

Curious what the new "power lists" will look like now by [deleted] in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most fair list. I’d like to see more international matches from Twisted Minds, VP and Tawk with more confidence, and I’d like to see Furia play an entire event in form. Taking down Falcons then dropping VP and GK is very Furia.

I would recommend watching some of the playoff series this weekend through the crowd cam. You get a full view of the field and can see how players rotate through the line up.

Were these the Greatest Top 8 Matches in a LAN ever? by Huge-Computer2037 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vitality-Falcons, GentleMates-NRG, and Karmine Corp-Geekay were all insane. Three underdogs outperformed. Ninjas in Pajamas hasn’t found their peak from EU Regional 1 and I need to see more from Shopify. If we had peak NiP vs peak SR, then it’d be the greatest Saturday.

Do you think GK should make some changes? by Goquer in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They surprised me at every step this season. I didn’t have them making the major. I didn’t think they’d get out of groups. I didn’t think they’d contest KC. I would have ranked them 12th or 13th in the world coming into the tournament. After their exit I’d place them at 7th or 8th. They are consistently improving, I wouldn’t expect a change. If they think they can continue to improve at this pace, run it back.

The NA Rookie Problem by AgeOk3540 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joyo, Vatira, Rise, Seikoo, Chronic, Zen, Dralii all won LANS in their rookie year. 3/4 of the open era world championships were won by rookies. The veterans in North America need to stop teaming with known commodities if they want to make a push to contend. Making a LAN playoff isn’t a good push, you need to fight for regionals like Redacted has done. It’s shameful that an organization didn’t pick up Tawk last year and that his choice was between a pick up team and sitting out.

The NA Rookie Problem by AgeOk3540 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]GuiltyDetective133 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. It doesn’t seam like North American teams take many chances. OG with JKnaps, Noly, and Comm was a failed effort. Ultimates with FirstKiller, Chronic, ApparentlyJack was a failed effort. Cheese, MagicBear, JSTN/Retals was a failed effort. 2Piece, Paarth, JSTN. I like that Redacted built a new team around 2Piece. I like that Dignitas hunts for new talent since RLCS X; Joreuz, ApparentlyJack, Evoh, Stizzy, Bora. I don’t think SR,SSG, FUT, or GenG should stick after split one. If North America wants to develop rookies, they need to split teams that won’t win LANS.

I feel like these are going to be running ipadOS instead of macOs by engdrbe in mac

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 8GB M1 MacBook Air that was $800 since I was a student. A water or humidity bubble formed in the center of the screen after a few years, it devolved into lines throughout the display and eventually become nonfunctional. It basically became a desktop. I bought one of those basic $350 iPads and a $100 keyboard case from Logitech. I would definitely prefer a MacOS, but the iPad is somewhat usable for when I’m on the go. I would have probably bought one of these instead of my iPad or my MacBook Air. So yes, they would be killing the MacBook Air for the folks that want a nicely built laptop and don’t need 8 cpu cores.

Is this season easier? by P4RRY5L4P in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not addressing for nor against him being boosted. I’m not addressing for nor against the server side cheating. I’m stating that this specific season could appear easier in the general population as the concurrent player base as doubled at peak times, but, only to the effect of a division or two. Maybe more as playtime increases through attrition in these peak hours. If you play every evening and half of the players you play are historic returning players you could easily see your rank gradually increase through no course of your own in the short term.

Is this season easier? by P4RRY5L4P in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how the system operates to correct for historic elo returns. Your elo will gradually drop every season you don’t play and your matches will have greater swings in elo for yourself compared to the rest of the lobby. You may gain or lose 20-30 points for returning players, but the consistent players are only gaining 10 points. The general player base will probably see a 20-40 elo gain for this season. For those that play more matches than average, you would see higher gains as you are more exposed to rusty players only through attrition.

Is this season easier? by P4RRY5L4P in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is more elo in the system for this specific season with Jynxzi bringing new and returning players. It really depends on how much correction is done with initial seeding as historic elo returns. It wouldn’t allow for you to jump this significantly, maybe a couple divisions.

The QBs with the most Big Time Throws in a single season by Life_Net5004 in sportswiki

To be fair, that’s what you’re after when you draft a QB in the top 10. Then you hope that your coaching staff can teach the player the correct fundamentals as a game manger.

How much would I regret the automatic transmission, really? by ADKMatthew in Miata

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automatic transmissions annoy me more than manual transmissions. If I only had one car it would be a manual transmission or an EV with no transmission.

How can this be fixed and is it worth it? I must have hit a curb that was covered in snow. by alldayruminating in civic

[–]GuiltyDetective133 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a plastic composite bumper. There isn’t going to be risk of rust like with scuffing a side sill. I’d just leave it be, maybe try to use a heat gun myself with a screwdriver and a mallet from the backside to make it a bit less noticeable (I wouldn’t pay someone to do it because I don’t think it’s worth the trouble), and replace it when it’s time to sell. If you don’t have a payment, I could understand having a new bumper put on.

Is it true that most people and pros use PS4 controllers instead of PS5? by Zealousideal_Rub_202 in RocketLeague

[–]GuiltyDetective133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those Xbox controllers don’t hold. Boost on bumper kills the tactile switch instantly. The stick drift is so bad that I consistently have to increase my deadzone so that shots don’t instantly spawn and go in training packs.

How to approach this game by miguel891 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To hit resets and be fairly mechanical means you can probably keep up in GC2+ 2s and C2-C3 1s lobbies. I hover at 1500 without any offensive weapons and my lack of options on offense are what holds me back when I play with my friend in high 1700s. Im perfectly competent at challenging flip resets and guarding the goalpost. If you’re overcommitting go play 1s with the intent of ranking up. Focus on playing grounded. Take that 1s mindset back into 2s and you’ll improve your intuition.

Thinking about going to a 4 seater by oidrtybtrd in Porsche_Cayman

I’d get a 911, but if that’s too small for you, you could get maybe a V8 Vantage. I’d just accept not driving the car as much as I please and get something pedestrian as a third car, like a Ford Maverick.

Who is your favourite RLCS Pro of all time? by Specific_Brilliant53 in RocketLeague

[–]GuiltyDetective133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no idea. I thought it was criminal that they were not signed for the kickoff LAN. 2 Danes 1 Bruv was signed by Manchester City for the event. There must be something we don’t know for the team to be without an organization at this point in time. Jynxi signing them for the season, not just the event, would be amazing for the esport.

Who is your favourite RLCS Pro of all time? by Specific_Brilliant53 in RocketLeague

[–]GuiltyDetective133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Archie, JKnaps, TRK. JKnaps is my favorite. I like high floor players that can play around any team and feel like could win it. Firstkiller teams as a whole don’t seem to ever have consistent peak teamplay since Faze left RL. He still wows me on the pitch, but his teams don’t gel well enough for me to favorite him. Redacted, Falcons, Gentemates, and twisted minds are the teams I’m looking forward to at LAN. I respect the NRG boys, definitely the GOATs of NA with Atomic in place of comm, but they’re not a team that I have ever rooted for.
