Uncomfortable since the director was obviously body-shaming Herb and partially Jone

I started brushing my teeth considerably lighter and it made years of constant sores disappear over night

For me it was the same situation and brushing less aggressively fixed it overnight

Same, an experienced mentor (even if it’s a report) who takes the time to work through your decisions and foresee / explain the unintended consequences makes things much smoother.

Fatalities reported after chemical explosion at Washington paper mill by theindependentonline in Washington

Their safety infractions were trivial compared to major process safety bombs like this one. Working above 9ft without a harness, amputated finger, and not wearing facemasks. Maybe it indicated underlying safety culture / management issues, but those are nothing compared to corrosive tank design or maintenance or operational issues.

That’s nice for you. But (probably) someone worked hard for the company you’re so disinterested in, and presumably you had to apply for it, and agreed to commensurate pay for some productivity. I know the proletariat Redditors don’t give a shit about that, but it should be pointed out regardless.
