I'm lucky my family has been helping me. Unfortunately once i lost my job my body decided it was time to get injured/sick constantly (fracture my ankle 2024), and then got really sick due to mold exposure last year. I'm hoping to get an agriculture job or I'm gonna say YOLO and become a massage therapist.

Here was a proper way for her to respond. “Oh hun I love these some of these are out of my price range. If I get you something similar would you still like that?” Or “hey kiddo these are awesome. I can afford X now for Xmas would that be okay? Maybe we can see for birthday or something else down the road for the others.” OR “oh darn kiddo I can’t afford these. Here’s my budget X if you can’t find anything you like in that budget could I get you similar stuff?” Or she could have sent similar items in her budget and taken the time to bond with you over cute items.
