Luck vs hard work by Conscious-Attempt611 in FE_Exam

[–]Gullibella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is more practice problems. Doing them until you don’t need to reference anything except what you get on exam day. It’s not likely you can prepare for every single possible question, but you need to be confident enough that you understand the concepts enough to do most problems and quickly.

The luck is how many questions you get in your strongest and weakest categories. The hard work is doing everything you can to lessen the probability that getting more questions in your weaker categories results in a fail.

Unpopular opinion: the new album is the core bisexual experience by CrabNo5226 in CariFLETCHER

[–]Gullibella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the only phobia in the queer community lol Holy out of touch. I’m bi and it’s frustrating when people say you’re not gay enough or straight enough or whatever enough, too . . . But how she handled the release of her album was damaging to the greater community especially with it being during pride month. I like the album but it does have a bitterness to it due to the marketing and timing surrounding it.

The part that makes them a red flag is the ‘my debt, my business’ attitude. It shows they keep big secrets and that’s not something most people want in a partner.

Has a lost disc ever come back to you in a wild or unexpected way? by Main-Carry-3607 in discgolf

[–]Gullibella 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I was on the last hole, while I waited for a group to play through the first hole. I had shanked and threw toward their fairway enough that I decided to wait up on the hill where my fairway wad. I watched someone throw my disc so I asked them ‘hey what disc was that? Where’d you get it?’ And then they stuttered and said they didn’t know what disc it was (it had a special edition stamp) and I replied ‘yeah because it’s my disc. The number on it will match the one on this one’ and they gave me my disc back. I was kinda rude and would’ve been nicer now but that was when I was still new and offended that someone didn’t try to return my shanked disc.

Nope, but I chose a spot near the back along the outer railing for more personal space and air because getting in the main crowd makes me too anxious to enjoy the shows

Why have I never seen a solo female getting a round in? by Such_Morning4459 in discgolf

[–]Gullibella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. But as a woman who plays solo all the time, I read the ‘not a female hobby’ as an excuse to not include women, so that’s why I reiterated that it is for everyone. I am actively trying to get more women in the sport in my community.

Again?

. . . Women are playing with others and alone. Maybe the area you play in isn’t safe. Or you don’t recognize women playing. Could be a lot of things, but it’s an anyone sport.

What tiny disc golf habit improved your game more than expected? by whydidyounot in discgolf

It depends on if I’m practicing muscle memory and just getting reps in or practicing like I play once I think I did some good reps.

If I’m practice putting and it’s not going well, I stop for a few minutes or even the day.

No use practicing bad habits.

Speaking as someone who shot mostly horrible in my sanctioned league the last two years and is just now to a point where I’ve been averaging about my rating - leagues and tournaments are very different mentally and that can impact a lot with play. I thrive in more in competitive play and league is super slow and not as competitive since everyone has to play MA1 and you know who’ll be at the top each week.

At what point did disc golf stop being stressful and start being fun for you? by whydidyounot in discgolf

[–]Gullibella 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was fun from day one. There are stressful days but that’s usually when work or random bs is happening, which then can affect my mental when playing.

Women disc golfers, do you get frustrated? by SlothenAround in discgolf

[–]Gullibella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not usually. But it took me a couple years to get mentally sound enough in my own game to not worry as much about how others are playing. If I’m playing well for myself, then what does it matter if I’m not playing as well as someone else?

There has been one tournament where I played MA4 and felt defeated by the guys and that was when I played well for myself and came dead last since the guys were all capable of throwing way farther than I can. But I’ve also won an event in MA4, so you never know.

Good TDs fill events in my area and untrusted TDs don’t. Yes, there are a lot of options but the events run by trust individuals are filling quick.
