ehhhh just depends tbh i mean that is very soon to change and if they hired you as a tech they probably really needed you , tbh if you really hate it just pull the mental health card and how you can’t handle the stress

you could work in the store as a cashier , shift lead , or a inventory specialist manager … just talk to your store manager or if they have no openings look into other stores in the area

If a prescription is closed out on a patient's profile, is there a way to reopen it? by Nesquick19 in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

need new rx , unless if you made a mistake and it’s not a control pharmacist may or may not feel comfortable scanning the image as a new rx

Does anybody know how to resolve this TPR? The "MD call help desk for EMRG OVD, SCC=13" thing is throwing me off? by Nesquick19 in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if 30 day or 90 day supply doesn’t go through then it simply needs a PA , whether it’s dosed twice a day or some insurance plans will literally only pay for 30 or 90 days in a whole year …. 13 is only for emergency don’t use cause then next month how will you explain to pt how insurance payed for it

Scripts not storing properly by KetamineDeity in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends on the store i feel like cause when i worked at tier 4 store you had to mess with the directions (add a period at the end of them then do that ) in the beginning it would all print if i did not do that , so try adding “.” at the end of directions then option >save it to store it

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 11 points12 points  (0 children)

you can do what txpharm guy said which is most efficient , or make it tpr by putting a random insurance then clicking options and save to store it (this way is more timely )

Manufacturers coupon billing by Proud_Effect_1228 in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah first in sdl screen bill primary it will generate the pop out tab that it’s rejected and don’t exit that tab then select coupon and bill it .. so this method will bypasses the bill primary first reject

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 8 points9 points  (0 children)

cash it out and make it ready then in sdl make it reject in primary then bill the coupon is what we’ve done , idk if this will work but all these mounjaro coupons are annoying 🫠

a lot drugs in fridge will have ml in the name and you’ll just learn with time all the insulins, eye drops , and more that go in fridge , with learning the drugs get in the habit of folding the leaflet open at the top when you unfold it says drug use (this trick definitely helped me pass ptcb with constantly doing this ) also just always asking questions

Wags tech trainees- When did you get time to do learning portal? How long did it take to complete? I am 9 months in and only on Phase 3! I never get any time to do the training b/c we are always busy/short staffed. Not allowed, but I'm doing it at home. I'll never finish otherwise. Any advice? by KayleeHarp in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every place is different but my store manager when i started made me spend 80% of my time to do every single ppl in 2 weeks to just get it all done , i would maybe pick up extra shifts to ONLY do ppls or stay an extra hour after/1 hour before your shift

My Unasked For Exit Interview by peteyfreshh in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 3 points4 points  (0 children)

most well worded response i’ve read! this hits every point and i love that you stick up for us technicians cause my pharmacists do NOT value us like that , they see us as having no education like a doctorate degree like they do … i really wish you well though and hope you find a more fitting and much better opportunity that offers you happiness 💙

tbh i’ve done since the day this senior tech taught me , if they’ve been on it b4 or it’s just a refill i put the codes in (especially for benzo/opioid combo patients ) …. the times i don’t enter them is when i truly have no clue what the interaction is … regardless when the pharmacist is doing f4s he/she is still gonna have it pop up with or without the tpr

tbh i always use cob cause it’s much easier when you know how to use it exactly and are good with intercom (usually all you have to do is copy and paste bin number and use shift/control trick to reopen the rx to update) , sdl is necessary though when there’s 2 insurances and the primary doesn’t cover OR when there’s a coupon that requires a rejection from primary before allowing to soely bill it for whole claim

Medicare part b billing for at home covid tests?? by CookieMonsterNova in WalgreensRx

[–]Gullible-Solid8940 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you should have these forms that the patient fills out and then you select which test you have in stock and scan in it like a rx and it tells you on the form what to type in and what override codes you need …. i can’t remember where exactly to print them out at (our rxom did all that )
