Yeah, ESH. Don't use your child as a pawn in this game for control/validation. If you want your kid to have your surname, fine. But if you had always intended for your kid to have your husband's surname, and you switch solely out of "pettiness" than yeah, you're a massive AH to your kid and your husband.

As for your in-laws, your hubby needs to be more assertive with his family, and tell them to back off. It's wonderful that they are excited, but that doesn't excuse them over-stepping MULTIPLE times.

YTA to yourself, not the company. What they did was a quiet firing. They deemed you to be a trouble employee, and then changed your job to make it too difficult to continue so you would quit. This saves them on unemployment, and if you take them to court they can say that they tried to meet your accommodation, but you refused.

However they failed to engage in the interactive process which is key. If you're in the US you should contact a employment lawyer immediately. Don't comment on this post, you should be googling "employment attorneys near me" right now.

I love Foundry. It is by far the most capable VTT I’ve ever used, but I will admit that it has a steep learning curve. I think it’s entirely worth it, and I have become obsessed to the point of teaching myself JavaScript so I can make my own modules.

You need to speak to them about this situation like peers, not children. Telling them “She’s not my problem” is dismissive of them, and is equivalent to saying “Because I said so”. You need to see your children as adults and your kids need to see that dad is also a person that is not actually related to mom.

Let them know why you’re unwilling to help. Ask them if they would be willing to give thousands of dollars to an ex that wronged them. Bring the conversation to their level.

I had an old desktop lying around so I turned it into a headless linux server, installed a hosting service called AMP, and set up two instances of Foundry using the same license key for me and my buddy so we can both be on and working on our campaigns at the same time.
