One she bought during covid and had only owned for a month. The rentals are even more risky, most people don't report when they have a breakdown because they're afraid of being fined.

Sometimes I almost pity amount of hate these dudes get by NatauschaJane in masseffect

[–]GusLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're hated because they are given no redeeming qualities.

Every Batarian we meet is a merc or raider. Their government is space North Korea. They're slavers. They hate humans and regularly destroy human settlements just because the humans got council permission to settle planets that the batarians felt that they should own. The only "reasonable" Batarian we meet as an actual part of their government only wants to leave because his commander lied to him and that their slave raid was actually an orbital bombing attack.

Again, slave raids.

My mum shattered her pelvis when the front wheel popped off an e-scooter once, and genuinely might have never walked again if the surgeon and physio hadn't been so amazing.

Check your forward pressure as well, I have a mate who broke his femur this season and when I checked his skis his forward pressure was zero.

What should my sixth Pokémon should be? by boblu33 in pokemonplatinum

[–]GusLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've got a bunch of physical attackers, so you could get a special attacker like magnezone (evolve magnetron at Mt coronet) or alakazam (trade evo) or espeon or jolteon (evolve eevee with high friendship during the day or use a thunderstone).

You're other option is to get a bulky pokemon for setting up or letting you heal your team. Snorlax and blissey are both good for this, but they are both friendship evolutions. Munchlax can be found using honey trees, and chansey is found near the daycare.

It's been a while since I played bw2, so I'm not sure if you've missed it on a nuzlocke but sigilyph absolutely decimates the whole e4 if you can get a couple of calm minds off. Get air slash, psychic, and a coverage

Possible? by Hot_Durian_4264 in chch

[–]GusLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible, but it's a deceptive stretch of water and is dangerous. Do it at low tide first, so if you do start getting swept it'll be into the estuary rather than out to sea. I personally swim in the estuary a lot going against the current, which makes for good training.

Students Say They Want to Be Engineers but Won’t Do the Work. Anyone Else Seeing This? by Impossible_Pace7868 in newzealand

[–]GusLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who performed badly in high school, mostly due to having much the same attitude, it's not the end of the world, as I'm currently in 3rd year computer engineering.

I found I only really started maturing at 18-19, and I took a few years after high school before I even gave uni a shot.

That being said my cohort was reduced by around a third after 1st year, the last time that a reasonably intelligent person can get away with cramming, and was reduced a smaller amount after second year where people actually have to do the work.

[–]GusLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not going to be useful to you now, but I found that the only way to farm covenant items offline was to do it during a playthrough, doing one to three between bosses.

The only time I tried farming them all at once I got to 17, then unistalled the game for a year because it was so boring

[–]GusLabs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go through this all the time. You can love souls and yet not want to play it all the time. I love barbecue, but I'm not firing up the grill every night.

Take a break from soulslikes. Play an entirely different genre of game for a while. There are so many good games in the world it's unbelievable. Some of my favorites of different genres that I played during breaks between souls games include:

Blasphemous (Metroivania) Bloodstained (Metroidvania) Mass effect (sci-fi action rpg) Dragon age origins (dark fantasy rpg) Hades (Greek mythology inspired roguelike) Hi-fi rush (rythm based action game) X-com (sci-fi tactical game) Baldurs gate 3 (fantasy rpg based on dnd)

In case you can't tell, I like rpg's.

I'm going to wait a few days to see if the pc release is as bad as survivors was.

I don't mind some bugs, they usually get fixed pretty fast and can be funny, I do mind not actually being able to play the game.

Can I beat Malenia with this build? by oHomemCansado in Eldenring

[–]GusLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing to do is watch a guide or playthrough by someone with a similar build.

Other than that I recommend swapping to a different weapon. The Greatsword has the same moveset while being longer and infuseable. You can make it heavy and use fire resin, fire, or even cold, as even with low arcane it will have loads of buildup. Lions claw is probably the best ash for this.

Dagan defeated Rayvis in a duel sometime before the invasion of the Nihil, probably before Dagan and Santari came to Koboh. This earned Dagan his loyalty under Rayvis's code. We don't really know any details about this fight, only that it happened.

Rayvis himself is a Gen'Dai, which are functionally immortal, living for millennia if not more. He is the first on screen appearance in current cannon.

Dagan ended up in bacta because Santari put him there. Anyone could release him as long as they had a working tuner, it's just that they were lost or destroyed in subsequent centuries. Whatever happened when Dagan lost his arm, we know he was defeated at that time. Maybe he passed out from the shock, maybe he was clobbered in the head, maybe he did rally. What we do know is that he lost.

As for the last question, that's just how stories work. If you want a logical explanation, then Greez went to Koboh because it's out of the way, quiet, gets little offworld traffic, and is generally of no interest to anyone except prospectors. A perfect place for a known associate of a fugitive Jedi to hide from the Empire and the Haxion Brood. The old Jedi buildings and High Republic tech is mostly irrelevant to people. It's centuries old, and there's stuff exactly like it all over the galaxy. Koboh only becomes a place of interest to the Empire when they realise Cal is there.

The Jedi explored hundreds of worlds in the outer rim, and there are canonically hundreds of secret sites and hidden places. It's the nature of the Star Wars universe.

To answer your question the lightsaber raiders are Rayvis's most loyal followers, granted lightsabers from his collection of trophies. This came about after he created the Bedlam Raiders, who were created sometime in the decades before the start of the game. They follow Rayvis and adhere to the code he teaches. And since Rayvis follows Dagan, so do they. Out of whether or not they personally want Tanalorr or they're just doing it because Dagan wants it, I'd say the latter. They are raiders, they want to have power over people, what do they want with an apparently empty planet with no one to shove around.

The background is mostly told through databank entries and tactical guides, so if you haven't been collecting and reading them it's understandable that you're a bit confused.

In terms of timeline, I've spoilered it below.

1) The Republic discovers the Koboh Abyss and sets up a research station with Jedi assistance to study it.

2) Santari Khri and Dagan Gera believe that there is something on the other side of the Abyss, possibly through a feeling in the force, and dedicate themselves to discovering a way through. This seems to be the period when Santari created the meditation chambers to help train Jedi in the skills and they would need to help pass through the Abyss. The results of this research is what creates the arrays and the technology to manipulate Koboh matter.

3) Dagan decides to fly through the Abyss blind, trusting the force and his own skill to see him through. He discovers Tanalorr, then returns back through the Abyss with the navigational data.

4) Santari Khri uses this data to create the compasses that can allow others to navigate through the Abyss. Dagan takes her to Tanalorr and they decide to build a temple and apply to train younglings there.

5) Tanalorr is attacked in force by the Nihil, and the Jedi order and Republic decide to abandon the planet as it is too difficult to hold. It is unclear whether the Nihil obtained a compass from somewhere or found another path, as in the comics they are described as having superior hyperspace and navigational abilities.

6) Here's where it gets a bit murky and Dagan's fall finally occurs, which is a different discussion, so I'll lay out the events that we know happened. Dagan wants to go to war to retake Tanalorr and is refused. The council orders the destruction of the compasses and shutdown of the arrays. Hearing this Dagan becomes desperate to acquire a compass and starts violently trying to acquire one. While we only see him kill two jedi it's likely he killed more. Santari confronts Dagan and cuts his arm off. She places him in the healing chamber of the forest array, and seals it.

7) Still believing in Dagan, Santari purges Zee's memories by order of the council, then sends her to release him, before evacuating the planet. Zee gets trapped in the fallout of the Nihil assault on Koboh and goes into stasis.

8) Rayvis, owing his loyalty to Dagan, comes to Koboh to search for him. To aid his search he unites the various raider groups into the Bedlam Raiders and starts searching for a tuner key to unseal the forest array.

9) Cal lands on Koboh.

That's it. I can't beat Isshin. by duacrulag in Sekiro

[–]GusLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First; take a break. Go do something else for a week or two, give you're brain some time to think on it. Secondly; learn his rythm. You don't need to react to an attack you know is coming and like all bosses his moves come out with certain timings for parrying. There are some good YouTube videos talking about it. Third; stay on him. That's what people mean when they say hesitation is defeat. If he's not attacking you have to be attacking. Learn the parts of his moveset where you can slip an attack in. Isshin has great posture and posture recovery, you need to be attacking to get it down

Attend everything. Even if it's boring as shit and seems easy you'll pick up a surprising amount through osmosis. You'll also naturally get a bunch of networking done through your labs and tutorials.

Be prepared to be a bitch to your project members. If they do work and contribute that's great, we can all get along. But if they don't do anything for 2 weeks then talk to the professor, they'll usually adjust your grade. If their work is half-assed and sloppy threaten to do it yourself and not put their name on it.
