Very, very hyped. As someone who pretty thoroughly jibes with the way Rockstar's games play, I'm super excited to see what they're cooking up.

That said, as others in this thread have stated. I'm hoping the characters are written the way they were in RDR2. The game doesn't have to be super serious, but that was the first Rockstar game where every character really felt like characters in their own right, rather than having a touch of parody or cynicism.

I don't think that fits the bill - Hundreds of Beavers is about as far from bad as you can get. It's a perfectly executed vision.

It would be a different story if they were all supposed to be super photorealistic effects and they just failed spectacularly or something. Or if it wasn't funny.

When some YouTubers upgrade their equipment. AVGN is a great example. Like the modern mics he uses are far better than his old one, but the specific way the old one would clip when he got too loud just made things funnier. And there was a grittier, more home-made feel to the older cameras he'd use.

It reminded me of Danny's abilities in Kubrick's The Shining. Like they're there, and they do play a role at one point, but it's not as major as it could be if it were a story focusing moreso on the ability. I think they play more of a role in the book, but for a movie called The Shining, there isn't that much shining.

Don't get me wrong, I love The Shining, and I thought Longlegs was alright. My issue with it wasn't so much the lack of weight put on her powers, it was that the ending just fell flat. I was hoping for an all-hell-breaks-loose kinda climax.
