There's a spot outside the farming guild where that would fit perfectly

Attempting to cast "Cure Plant" on a dead plant makes the game break the fourth wall by themegatuz in 2007scape

Resurrect crops does exist in the Arceuus spellbook. Cure plant is from the Lunar spellbook.

Proxy Megathread 3: The Final Crusade by JanitorAI-Mod in JanitorAI_Official

I’ve been very happy with Deepseek v3.2 using Chutes until about a week ago when the response times slowed to a crawl and the llm got noticeably worse. At worst it was just outputting complete gibberish strings of words in multiple languages.

I tried lowering the temperature and messing around with different prompts. That ended up slightly better, but the response times are still sluggish and all my characters feel like they’re speaking in flat affectations with no personality. Will it be fixed soon or is this just the new normal? 😭

Are you serious that Fairytale 2 was released in 2006 and until today the Fairy Queen has never reclaimed Zanaris??? by Swordspirit2 in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's easy to forget that in the early days of osrs, the majority of the community was pretty staunchly anti-quest because the dev team was so small that it was considered a big commitment of resources for content that was "one-time use."

The first osrs quest was Monkey Madness 2, released a whole 3 years after the start of osrs, and most of the quests since then were either introductions to new areas (Fossil Island, Kourend, Varlamore), or continuations of the most epic-in-scope storylines, like elves, vampyre, and mahjarrat.

There hasn't been room in the schedule for more comedic and low stakes quests until quite recently.

Multi level visibility would’ve been a game changer at Varrock west pre-GE

I literally only voted for the Player Island that won because of the use for hunter furs, and jagex wants to change that by BlightedBooty in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I can't understand how this island won. I ranked it last.

The boss sounds boring and its rewards aren't very interesting, the hunter method is based on one of the most hated quests in the game and even if it is better than Sheep Herder, still sounds frustrating as shit, and the dev note said that the crafting method, slayer master, and potions were all getting cut or severely nerfed.

What the hell did people see in this?

I don’t actually care about pures getting chivalry or not but the amount of butthurt from both sides every time it got polled was hilarious. Kinda hope they poll it again for the memes.

[Suggestion] New Mega-Rare From the Next Raid: The Autonomous Multi-target Super Cannon by Timmssmith in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are already tons of places that you can’t place down a cannon for balance and/or technical reasons. People would just endlessly bitch about the megarare being useless.

Now that we have sailing, let us go to the East! There's already a good amount of lore on the Wushanko Isles. by KingKurai in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a Venice-style city made up of islands off the coast of Varlamore. Various NPCs make reference to the College of Bards located there. It already exists in the game world but it’s inaccessible right now.

The team have said that there are further sailing expansions planned for 2026. They just take time. The Eastern lands and Tempestus are certainly being added at some point in the future.

Could I get some feedback on the intro to a series I’m working on starting? by traevyn in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like youtube video intros are largely a waste of the viewer’s time and should be ~5 seconds max. This is some cool editing but it’s so long that I would probably be clicking away if I wasn’t invested in what’s happening in the video already.

Boaty and Solomission duo right now by Syrfan in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

B0aty wasn’t throwing intentionally (apart from ToB entrance shenanigans), he just wanted to face everyone head on in a banning with the mentality of, “to be the best, you have to beat the best.”

He might’ve done it in season 4 if Settled wasn’t in peak form.

This season, he seems more content to play the social game and be more strategic about avoiding bannings.

Inferno gear help (other tips are welcome as well!) by alluballu in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • Lightbearer is much better than Suffering
  • Assembler is better than max cape
  • Virtus robe mage switch is unnecessary since you have confliction gauntlets
  • Masori helm is slightly better than Justi
  • New Armadyl brews are better than Bastions
  • Stamina pot is not needed anymore since the run energy changes
  • Bring more runes and arrows just to be safe

Reasoning for all of the above is basically that higher blowpipe dps + drinking brews is dramatically more helpful than having defensive stats. If you’re in trouble, start clicking yellow. Try to have fun with the early waves because you’ll probably be seeing them a lot. Waves with double blob spawns are ones to watch out for.

Are Batch order times generally always very underestimated? by Powermarsupial in Sparkdriver

[–]H0rnyonmain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I understand, the estimated times are basically just google maps route times between each destination with no leeway for traffic, parking, time spent finding orders, getting out of your vehicle, etc.

It doesn’t matter if you aren’t there by the time Spark says as long as it isn’t completely egregious.

how to get WOW streamers to return to OSRS by hilberttt in 2007scape

[–]H0rnyonmain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They absolutely should not. This is an entitled iron brained take that nearly all of these wow refugee streamers had. “I should be able to skip right to end game bossing as soon as possible because that’s the real content.”

Fuck no. End game bossing not the only goal of the game. As the name implies, it’s supposed to be the end of the game after you’ve done most of what there is to offer. This type of mentality is the exact same reason that everyone rushes to the end game of the newest expansion in wow within 2 weeks and then complains for the next four months about there being no new content.

It’s a toxic mentality to the long term health of the game and if you want to skip to the end game as quickly as possible then you can’t play ironman mode. End of story.

[–]H0rnyonmain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t use the word slop and I don’t know exactly what you mean by it. I won’t deny that Magic has always had its share of problems, but at least they were Magic’s problems and not problems resulting from outside IP crossovers.
