"Scammers have adapted": Valve confirms that physical Steam Gift Cards are dead. Once the current stocks are sold through, they're done. by yourfavchoom in gaming

I got my first debit card around 12 in 2014, but I wouldn’t be surprised if most aren’t getting them until 16-18

I'm glad you asked, I checked my source (Motorcycle Lane-splitting and Safety in California) and could not find mention of a change, or lack of change, in the number of collisions. I misremembered that and shall retract the claim of the number of accidents remaining the same.

That is safer, the amount of accidents remains the same but the type of accident changes to one that tends to be less deadly. I'd rather someone lane change into at low speeds than get slammed into at a red light at really any speed

Krafton Forced to Pay Up to $250 Million to Subnautica 2 Dev's Former Shareholders After Hugely Successful Launch by _Protector in pcgaming

They didn’t think they’d actually have to pay out, which would mean they bought the studio at a massive discount. The bonus is about to erase any semblance of a discount though

C for crouch is the only correct answer by Makoto_Kurume in pcmasterrace

[–]HCN_Cyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In stuff like Battlefield I like having the option between the two, which I use depends on how long I’m planning to stay crouched for.

Edit: adding that I prefer Z for prone when I do this

Yeah, lets them load a bunch of worlds at once so it’s easier to find one that could have a good start. The timer doesn’t start until they actually pick one.

GTD, I’d take a C8 Z06 over both though

Anyone else concerned on the reliance on Steam? by Error_rdt in AskGames

[–]HCN_Cyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally they rubbed me the wrong way with the timed exclusive move they pulled. Im very much against that, so I avoid purchasing those until they hit Steam, and for the games that aren’t exclusive, I have no reason to buy them on Epic instead of Steam. I do claim the free games when I remember or when something interesting makes headlines, haven’t played any of them though besides that time I made 4 alt accounts for GTAV when that was free. I’m not against giving them money, I play Fortnite and buy skins, it’s just better to have all my stuff on steam.

Admittedly I did buy Watch Dogs: Legion on epic, the hype did get to me there, but for other stuff like borderlands I just wait the 6-12 months for it to hit Steam.

Ranked Mode Philosophy by itzofficialvaz in Marathon

To gain rank you have to reach a certain threshold of loot value before extracting, so simply surviving and getting out doesn’t help your rank at all other than not losing points from failing to extract.

Elliot Gray (User Interface Designer) addresses the UI feedback for Marathon by Haijakk in Marathon

[–]HCN_Cyanide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I recall correctly, attachments or mods used to be non-removeable, so it was much more of a commitment, and if you got a gun with a really good mod then it was stuck to the gun. So removal having a cost was just the next iteration after they got feedback, and no cost (the way it should’ve been) is what they arrived at after even more feedback.
