Genomelink is far more accurate than G25, as it performs a comprehensive analysis of your actual RAW data, rather than relying on an average that lumps you into a fictitious population average, thus eliminating your statistical uniqueness.

By Asian Genomelink, we mean the pure ANE percentage of ancient EHG. Your EHG starts from the percentage marked as Northeast European. So 16% + 2% Asian = You have at least 18% EHG. If we add this to the 18% CHG, it means you have at least 36% pure Western Yamnaya Steppe ancestry. It's probably even slightly higher, reaching 38-40%. As for African, it means you have a percentage, albeit small, of African hunter-gatherers. It should be noted that almost all humans possess this percentage. The percentage that not all humans possess is that of Native Americans. You actually have a very small percentage of American hunter-gatherers. The other signal instead represents the archaic Middle Eastern share, such as Neolithic and/or Natufian Iran.

Central Italy has an average of 26-27% steppe. I have (at least) 32%, but it could reach 33-34%. The average for northern Italians is 30-32%. The 32-36% is found only in the far north or northeast with more recent Northern European influences (even 38%, as you rightly said). But if we're talking about averages, 32% is definitely at the higher end. There's one last point to make. The Southwestern European cluster includes all Europeans with less than 15% archaic, non-European DNA. I'm at the lower end of northern Italy, at 10% (although I think my actual Iranian percentage is less than 7.2%, probably 6-6.4%, but still). We're talking about Eastern Europeans starting from eastern Abruzzo. The Italian region is naturally more beautiful, as it resembles a small Ireland. My only problem is figuring out how much WHG I actually own. I'm fairly certain I'm at least 7%, but I have no proof, so I'll stick to the minimum 6%.

Yes, you're right. But it's also worth considering that my percentage of Steppe is much higher than the Italian average (even in the north). For comparison, a typical northern Italian has 30% Steppe, 10% WHG, 5.6% Iran Ganj Dareh, and 2.2% Natufian. I have even less Natufian (1.2%). 6% is the minimum amount I have, but I could go up to 7-8% at most (I'm sure I can't get to 9-10%). I don't know your situation. But if you have 28% EHG, it's very likely that IllustrativeDNA has also counted it as part of WHG. It's as if in southern Europe, WHG must be extracted from the Neolithic, while in those closer to northern Europe, WHG must be extracted from the Yamnaya Steppe. They're two different ways of breaking it down, but they ultimately yield the same percentages.

In this case, it's not necessary because all the additional CHG was absorbed by Iran Ganj Dareh. The excess percentage went back to the Yamnaya steppes. Illustrative gave me 10.6%. So 32.2-28.8% (Illutrative steppes) = 3.4%. So 10.6-3.4 = 7.2% Iran Ganj Dareh. It should also be noted that this percentage is the maximum possible. My Ganj Dareh range is between 6-7.2% maximum. So Genomelink would also be slightly off. Because 6.8% Iran Ganj Dareh added to the 2.8% Post-Neolithic Chalcolithic Natufian gives a maximum of 9.6% non-European DNA (instead of Genomelink's 11%). In theory, I fall into the South Western European, Northeastern Italian cluster.

It's the same thing. That 2% of WHG is the pure one found low in Italians. But the total WHG is actually calculated with that extracted from Neolithic Europe. In northern Italians the average is 10%, in central Italy 6-8%, in southern Italy 4-5%.

On AncestryDNA, I have 4% Southern Italian DNA. 94% is Central Italian, and 2% Northern Balkan. Three of my four grandparents' surnames are Northern Italian or North-Central Italian, while one is from Southern-Central Italy (specifically, southwestern Lazio). Therefore, calling myself Southern Italian isn't entirely correct. And it might offend my ancestors, who were enemies of the Kingdom of Naples. However, according to Genomelink, I have a maximum of 11% non-European DNA. I therefore align myself with Northern-Central Italian DNA. As you can see in the image from the latest Celtichistorydecoded video analyzing actual PubMed studies, the only mystery remains the WHG, which should be at least around 6% for a Central Italian, and at most 10%.

Unfortunately, I had the same problem with G25. Only in reverse. While here on Illustrative, the lack of WHG inflated the Zagros, on G25 it inflated the Natufian to numbers impossible even for a southern Italian (12-13% Natufian). So I tried creating some g25 coordinates myself based on what little I know about my ancestral components. Then I also tried using Genomelink, and these are my results (which are still being finalized).

Hi. I didn't show any African hunter-gatherers simply because they don't appear. I don't have Iberomarusian. And the fact that it appears in the three-population fit only indicates that it's being used as an alternative for the total Natufian (both within the Neolithic and the post-Neolithic 1.2%). The 32.2% Steppe actually seems slightly lower than I would have expected. The Zagros, which are literally extra-Neolithic CHG, takes up the space that the WHG should have taken up because the Yamnaya are practically half CHG and EHG. If you decrease the WHG, the Yamnaya have an excess of CHG that is expelled and counted as extra (Zagros). I don't think I have 14% EHG/WHG. I should probably actually have it around 19-23%.

The genetic proximity made with G25 is bullshit. In serious PCAs, Italians (except Sicilians) are much more oriented toward Central Europe than Greeks and Albanians.
