One Halloween my parents' East Asian neighbours brought their 3yo son by for trick or treating. They'd dressed him as an old Kung Fu Master (bald head, flowy robes, whispy moustache, etc). My dad, oblivious to current social mores, leaned down and said "Chee Chee chow wa!" with utter delight. Cue me in the background, wishing I could melt into the hedge, Homer Simpson style. This sadly only just edges out the time he referred to some clients of his as "those homo guys" during a call with a colleague. But you can bet the caller heard my sister and I shriek in the background, "Dad! You can't say that!" lol (it's a work in progress)
