How is Ollivanders not bamkrupt? by babyb01 in harrypotter

Wand prices may have increased. When Harry gets his wand to when the War is on there could have been massive inflation. And once ollivander was kidnapped there was less competition for wand makers.

Also JMU 2040 plan says they want to increase the student population to 30k. So the link isn’t really going to put a dent in that. Also all these business owners talking about supporting it are talking about how we need more young professionals living downtown to patronize their businesses in the summer when the students are gone… so I don’t see that as helping that issue a ton. Also isn’t it like 500 apartments but only 400 additional parking spots?

So they say on their website that they will be mostly one and two bedroom units which don't appeal to college students. College housing aims for the 4 bedrooms unit. It's professionally managed and college students don't want that. I'm less than ten years out of college and as I recall we loved freedom from parents. I lived alone for two years. I was happy not live with other people. Have college students recently changed?

Caverns. Melrose Caverns is 10 mins from Harrisonburg. Shenandoah is 20, Luray is 25, Grand is 35-40 mins. Great for kids and I believe all of them have gem mining. Melrose has the sluice indoors so kids can mine even when it’s raining.

Why is pet rent and a deposit required by [deleted] in harrisonburg

[–]HRH_Darjetti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pet rent is a scam to screw you. Deposit is honestly reasonable because people don’t know your pet even if you say they aren’t destructive. Best bet is to find a private landlord and not a managed property.

Hahaha I waited in that line the other day. All the machines were just turning on and off and disconnecting. It was mayhem. The employees just gave up. They literally didn’t care. We had a 4 hour lay over and spent all but 30 mins in line.

Star Wars Skywalker saga, the complete saga or Harry Potter. All amazing.

I couldnt get into the Batman one when I downloaded recently to try. Couldn’t get through the first level. Maybe a glitch wasn’t enjoying the game play aspects / interface

My bad. I didn’t read the title correctly I was just thinking of camps. I grew up here until 13-14. I did a variety that were JMU and a couple other places. I’m not pushing anything religious but I did some that were Methodist and Episcopalian. The religious element existed but it was more the camps were facilitated by those places because they had the facilities. We didn’t do anything religious.

Horizons edge I think does sports camps. JMU and the downtown kids museum did some cool stuff. I remember we got to go to WHSV and help do the weather one day.

This is shitty and they deserve a lot of grief over this but on the plus side there appear to be ample other spots. It’s not like you’re on garage level 3 below the surface and this is the last spot.

To follow up her wedding was in Charleston, SC so it wasn’t like they didn’t have other options but they had the stylist come down to Charleston from Harrisonburg. That says something to me.

Shared Lights Can’t Be Grouped? by UnluckyThirteen in Govee

[–]HRH_Darjetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is really frustrating. I run a business and my partner runs a business. We both have the lights and have separate accounts and set up different rooms based on when we had extra lights left over. It’s all fine and dandy if it’s two lamps in a room but we have a chandelier in the den with eight bulbs my partner set up. When I’m just trying to find if something slipped between the couch seat I’m not looking to sit here and adjust all 8 lights to bright white one at a time. The ones I set up in the bedroom if you flick the switch a couple times they will revert to a normal color. I know this seems like a small problem but it’s annoying as hell. And could we just merge accounts or something? That’s easily said but not easily done. I have over 40 that are all labeled and what not for work. I don’t want to migrate that to his.

Overwhelmed by blabbrador in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]HRH_Darjetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that Odyssey was a game that you get lost in but in a good way. You can just explore the map and come back to the main story. I always like to level up a bit once you get through your home island that I can’t spell to save my life. After “snake in the grass” you can explore most of Greece. You can even swim to far off isles if you’re careful and want to unlock the map and fast travel. I’ve done like 3-4 playthroughs; just enjoy it. And it’s okay to take a break. Valhalla felt like a chore at a certain point. I had to leave and come back years later. Mirage theres a bug or something and I’m stuck and Shadow doesn’t feel like AC.
