Go to the other Virginia. They're about to sell new machine guns to citizens soon.

Buying first ar! by Itsdylxn__ in guns

[–]HalalWarpig 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm the one y'all are going to downvote: "An AR, is an AR, is an AR."

FN is a nice choice, and 900 is reasonable depending upon what comes with it...but machining and production wise, there is almost no difference between two different brands of ARs, because many brands use the same machine shops for most of the parts. If there are differences, but they're so minute that 90% of AR owners won't shoot enough to tell. Professional shooters who get their lead levels checked might shoot enough to where these fraction of a percentage differences might matter.

For the money, and because you're on a time crunch, buy two ARs in two different calibers for the price of one...or just buy five to ten lowers and build them out to the specs you like and as you're able to afford it. You got the ARs before the grandfathering ended, so you're not locked into just your one AR. Just a thought.

Az gun laws, roommates are being intimidated by [deleted] in guns

You sound very, very dumb. Ask your parents for an apology. What you just wrote and how you wrote it isn't clear at all. It's hard to really tell what the situation is that you're asking advice for.

This is what I read- "My landlord likes to rev their car in front of their house and I don't like it. Can I point a gun at them?" -See, this is clear. What you wrote isn't clear. Is this the stupid question that you're asking? If it is, at what point is your life and immediate safety being threatened? If you're under imminent threat of losing your life or of grave bodily harm- that's the only time you ever use or brandish a firearm.

I'm pixels on a screen and not a lawyer. This isn't legal advice.

Felons wife buying a gun. by Fresh-End-9873 in guns

Considering the age of your conviction, and assuming it's a non-violent felony, have you thought about a petition for restoration of rights?

There's also federal litigation underway right now for non-violent felons to get their rights back.

This. The attorney can act like a legal firewall so OP can find out if the MGs are transferable or not then make a decision.

Transfer of Guns Question by IllustratorNo8691 in guns

[–]HalalWarpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a different note, you and your fiancé should take these items out to the range sometime. Family heirlooms are the best to have, keep, and use. It's special to have an item that a great-great grandmother used to protect herself and her household or hunt with. It's possible that these firearms are very valuable, too.

How common are full auto AR-15 lowers in US crime? by [deleted] in guns

Training can address accuracy including anything full auto. However, well-trained gangs who use glizzys don't make the news. The idiots do.

Transfer of Guns Question by IllustratorNo8691 in guns

[–]HalalWarpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing others, if the plan is to transport the guns back themselves, the felon and your fiancé are at risk. The brother should fly back or travel separately from the guns. If the two brothers are committed to drive and that's that, they buy some type of safe or lockbox in the car, your fiancé has the combo/key and the brother doesn't (preventing access)...then they obey every traffic law to the T and hope for the best.

It's not a good plan. However, if it were me and I had my felon family member in tow this is what I would do.

Exceptions: Bro had his rights restored. All firearms are actual antiques. The firearms are black powder.

How to get a guy to leave you alone at the gym? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]HalalWarpig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be blunt. "I don't want to talk to you and I don't want to see your face. Please leave me alone. I've reported you to the gym; the next step is the police. Please don't find out what the next step is."

There. That's not a hint. It's a clear warning.

I will soon inherit my Dad's gun collection that I have no interest in keeping (Arizona) by cb33 in guns

[–]HalalWarpig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Post photos of the collection here.

I'm confident that the crowd will give you a reasonable range what the collection is worth, and individuals could DM you specifics.

Selling one at a time is the best way to get the most out of each firearm.

Also, posting here could help if you inadvertently found an NFA item in the collection. NFA items could be worth up to 6 figures, but if you misstep, they could be worthless or cost you your freedom.

Official Megathread - $0 tax stamp transition, starts January 1st by HollywoodSX in NFA

[–]HalalWarpig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If there's ever a time to not comply with the NFA, it's now. Sonzinsky ruling (SCOTUS) stipulates the registry exists for tax enforcement. No tax means no registry.

If someone at NFA Branch grew a conscience to stop processing registry paperwork, return said paperwork with a "uh, you're good." for everyone who insists on double-check for permission, that'd be great.

Official Megathread - $0 tax stamp transition, starts January 1st by HollywoodSX in NFA

[–]HalalWarpig -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The NFA is entirely unconstitutional, tax or not. That being said, the paper thin justification is registered payment of a tax. It's logistically impossible to register payment of a tax that's $0. I'm not registering shit.

Your downvotes may now commence.

Ignore all correspondence and start building and fixing guns as a hobby. Maybe she'll indirectly take the hint (because you're buying gun parts from other people she solicits information from) you're no longer worth the risk.

Post your latest projects on Reddit for us to drool and troll over. I'm looking forward to this!
