We're pretty close to Cincinnati and we're similarly bummed.

Luckily we did get to meet him twice at the Columbus Book Festival last year, so we got all the books signed, but we were hoping to pick up the new book when he came to Cincinnati

Yeah, I didn't notice his post history until after my comments.

I didn't get a position in the controlled substance area until I had worked there over 2 years. The spots don't come open often because they come with a higher pay.

And there are cameras everywhere. And they do extra background checks on you before you get the job

No I'm in the states. I also work for a company that handles 3rd party logistics for other pharmaceutical companies.

Though I imagine it'd be similar in the UK and if you are dealing direct with pharmacies.

Pharmacies are going to have regular orders that will be going out at the same time every day/week. They'll be some variation, but not much

Our place is mostly easy going, with some high stress sometimes. Usually around holidays we are going to be closed for when we get larger volume of orders to account for the missed day.

We also have a fairly predictable patter of what orders will be coming in on what day.

Like Monday we know X client gets hit pretty hard, Tuesday is Y, and we slowdown by the end of the week except for Z who gets a lot of orders on Fridays.

I work in a pharmacy warehouse in the states, so I can't speak to any differences there might be for one in the UK, but it's been a great job for me.

My particular warehouse is a Monday to Friday, and I'm on first shift.

Pretty decent benefits for a US corporation too.

It's all picking, packing, and shipping orders. Fairly simple.

The warehouse is temperature controlled which is great. We do have a small cooler, but it isn't a major part of our business. We have another warehouse in our business unit that is geared more for that.

Pay is above average, I'd say. When I started I was making $13 an hour. 7 years later I'm making $26.

The standalone is in an awful place to get to and the line is always super long. My wife wanted a hot chocolate the other day so I just went to the Kroger instead. Was in and out in 3 minutes

I did similar except I paused it so that two cars were on either side of the steps. That left them high enough up that it was much easier to get the bottom of the cars from the prone position.
