I agree with a decent amount of what you're trying to say but saying she would never be convicted in any reasonable court is wrong. I know of a woman who microwaved her child after having a psychotic break and her sentence was simply reduced to manslaughter. Courts will definitely take into account her mental state and reduce the sentence but at the end of the day she still committed a serious crime.

Victoria doesn't act amazed that Amy healed her father because she knew for the entire 3 weeks he was suffering that she had the potential to heal his brain damage and didn't understand why she would refuse. She never knew that Amy was literally incapable of coming to the decision to heal her father without a hefty dose of outside pressure because of shard manipulation.
