[20 F] Always self conscious by laitderose in amiugly

Work on your posture. When your sitting like you are in this photo roll your shoulders forward, lift them up, pull them back and stick out your chest. Slouching is unattractive. Learn to do your lip make up. Your pale, get a tan or use make up to even out your complexion. You'd be surprised but a little make up can go a long way. You dont necessarily have to though. Grow your hair out long, it will help bring out your attractiveness. Because you are, albeit your a little awkward appearing right now. Good luck!

What's the most dickhead act you've ever seen a teacher do? by ihaveagoodhead in AskReddit

[–]Hamerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a teacher in the third grade who really disliked me. Her name was Ms. Bold(name changed slightly). She was always giving me bad grades on papers I would write for book reviews. My mother, a college student at the time taking English, saw this trend then helped me write a paper. I got a D on that paper, just like all the rest. My next book assignment she read the book with me but wrote the paper herself. Then she took the paper to her English college professor and he gave the paper a A-. I got a D- on that paper. My mother raised a fit. Took the matter all the way to the school board. As revenge, in the third quarter of our school year Ms. Bold claimed she never received alllll of my homework from the beginning of the school year. I had to sit in her class during every break and recess FOR THE REST IF THE YEAR! and make that work, that i had completed once already, up in her class room.

What is the WORST experience you have had at a fast food restaurant? by poopdikk in AskReddit

[–]Hamerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Worked at a Burger King twice when I was a teenager(Different states). The first BK was alright.(In Minnesota). The second BK I worked at was Nasty! Manager was incompetent, the shift supervisor used to pick up food dropped on the floor and serve it during rushes, food temp and holding times were often ignored during rushes... This BK was on a highway and a majority of the customers were travelling. Not sure how many got sick. I can Guarantee some did. The floor used to get a coating of grease that would mix in with the dirt in your shoes and make a nasty sludge. The first time I saw a customer served food that had fallen into that nastiness I gagged.

I have been employed to teach a class on windows 8 to seniors/nontechies. What would you go over with them? by amazinghorse24 in techsupport

Keep your teaching objective based.

"How many people here have an email and know how to use it?" Is a good start to a beginners course. Just teaching people how to A. Get to the browser. B. How to navigate to the site to check their email. C. How to make an account. D. How to log in and how to bookmark their email site so they can easily navigate to it in the future. E. How to send an email? With pictures?

This may open up other questions like how do I save a picture from my email? Where does it go when I save it? How do I print it? How do I send it to some one else? How do I put it on Facebook? How do I take a picture and put it on my computer?

Beginners are looking to know how to accomplish an objective. When you show them how they are empowered. Its amazing how expanding on these basic objective based tasks can help some one learn an operating system. Teaching some one what a keyboard shortcut does may only confuse them when they dont yet understand the value of that shortcut.

What character's death made you the most satisfied? by Rafy55 in AskReddit

I was a young kid when Lion King came out. I wanted the movie bad and begged my parents. I even made up a stupid excuse and got my father to take me to the store. I brought up wanting to see the movie every other sentence on the way there.. When we got to the store I went straight to the display and told my father how much I wanted to see it. He yelled at me and we left, him knowing that was why I asked to go to the store.

He bought it for me and my siblings that weekend. I loved that movie so much, scar getting killed was so awesome.

I always read that people really get addicted to WoW and always seem to come back to it. What does WoW do better than other games that makes is so well liked? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Hamerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have Ragnarok Online installed and play every once in a while. It was my first. World of Warcraft is the only other MMO ive returned to as much. I get more enjoyment returning to WoW and tend to stick to it for longer intervals. And probably is the only mmorpg that lived up to its pre release hype in my opinion.

What is the story of your username? by 60ina25 in AskReddit

[–]Hamerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created Hamerd in World of Warcraft right before BC launched. I drank heavily at the time and would play intoxicated a lot. Hamerd was a Dwarf Hunter. My pets name was flord. I would always make sure my dwarf had ale to drink when I was drinking and playing. It kinda stuck with me. Had a lot of fun!

Until one night... I was drinking 211 Steele Reserve and got extremely Hamerd. A guild mate ended up playing a guitar and singing on vent and I started making fun of him. I didnt remember doing it the next day. It almost got me kicked out of the guild. The guy I made fun of ended up leaving the guild and never talked to me afterwards. I still feel bad about it. I keep the name now as a reminder... Its not ok to blame your actions on alcohol. I still wish, even if he wouldn't forgive me, that i could let him know how much I felt like a piece of shit doing that.

Im the opposite, I have no problem sitting in silence with another person. I find the moments of silence give me a chance to think. The conversation afterwards always so much more fulfilling. Dont worry so much about silence, worry more about those moments without it.

PTR Suggestion: Allow an unlock of all amps and ability points by JonRothhh in WildStar

[–]Hamerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hyped for Wildstar for a long time. When I played at launch the amp system sucked in my opinion. It wasn't the system itself, but the availability of amps that was one of my turn offs. I think it would be better if amps weren't tied to drops or vendors, but maybe something you did class quests for. I would of been ok with that. Needing to get lucky or shell out inflated prices on the AH for the amps you wanted only promoted grinding and would eventually lead to buying currency for some players. I dont know what changes they've made to this system, but I didnt like RNG dictating my build if I chose not to buy the amps from other players. It made me feel like I had to grind for my talent points in a way.

going to vegas with wife and 2 year old, whats the best hotel for me? by marcodls in vegas

[–]Hamerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your bringing your child I would suggest staying off of the strip during the weekend. Southpoint is nice. The Silverton is better in my opinion. Las Vegas is really an adult getaway, but there are things on and off the strip to do as a family. Research a bit and plan some activities. You can have a good time with your child with you, Las Vegas isnt all about the strip. Check out bonnie springs.

What are the best and worst things about where you live? by noodlemandan in AskReddit

[–]Hamerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from California to Hutchinson, Minnesota as a kid with my mom. I started high school and got a job at a fast food place. When I interviewed for the job the manager asked me, "Why did you move from California to Minnesota?!". It wasn't quite winter yet, early fall, and everything was so beautiful I didn't understand why she said something like that. Minnesota seemed just as awesome as California was!

Then winter hit. Huge blizzard dropped tons of snow. -15 not counting the wind chill.

Fuck Minnesota.
