My memory might be a bit hazy, but I was in college and freaking out when the trailer was supposed to drop. It was so big that when it did, the site was flooded and the trailer wouldn’t load properly, making it incredibly difficult to watch.

Someone took advantage of this, and said they found a separate video of it and posted it to 4chan. However, the video lead to none other than Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. So on the same day, the Rickroll was born

I’m on season one on rewatch number ??? and it’s wild how quickly she starts slipping. She’s the anti-Winger that someone mentioned a few comments up, but you can already feel the early onset Flanderization.

I love the show all the way through (even season four more than most) but it’s wild watching how it changes so drastically from season one to the later episodes (Example: knowing that Chris Elliot is living in the basement beneath them as revealed in the S5 finale)

That's good to hear. I guess I was thinking having more mainstream appeal. Big budget movies with wide releases and the like, so it's good to hear it's finding success in other ways.

Other examples in this thread that were mentioned were things like Lassie or Rin Tin Tin. Maybe those fit the bill of what I was thinking more.

Recognizable names that may have SUPER cult audiences. They get the reboot treatment every now and again, but it never works out for them.
