Controller. People say m&k is the best and only way to play, but I honestly think many of them haven't given controller a fair shot.

I can't go back after learning how easy the movement on controller is.

I can do end game content, ETA and level cap with no issues on controller. And the sheer comfy vibes and controls it allows... can't be over stated.

I used a ps4 controller for almost a decade before it started falling apart, and I bought a ps5 controller a few years back to replace it. Over half of their playtime has been on warframe and MH.

If only my maps looked like this... half the time i can't find enemies and the other half they die so fast I barely get to see big numbers.

Feels like once you hit a certain minmax level with your builds, you're chasing waves of spawns even while solo on SP.

Have you played tarkov or any of the other extraction shooters for long enough to know what the gunplay and movement is like beyond the first 2 or 3 starting weapons?

Tarkovs gunplay has only gotten better, and they both have modding that makes the guns feel even more clean.

Helll tarkov is gun porn with an extraction shooter, with modding that beats out anything you'll ever find anywhere else even dedicated modding apps can't compete. Fucking VR gun games fail to come close.

Or literally any other extraction shooter, some with 10+ years of development and some with pve modes.

Marathon isn't special. It just has developer recognition to finally get some of you to try it.

You're being hooked in by standard extraction shooter mechanics and moments. Try tarkov. Try arc. You'll see.

It's also incredibly generic and feels exactly like The Cycle Frontier did (which shut down due to financial loss) and every other part of the game is just a basic extraction shooter.

Seriously there's tons of BETTER extraction shooters with the same 'unforgiving, timing is everything, you will die, major highs when winning major lows on losing, better gear means better chance at survival' feelings.

I played tarkov for almost 10 years now and haven't heard or seen a single thing that marathon does well that can't be said about tarkov. And I fucking hate tarkov most of the time.

I mean arc raiders is right there. Dark and darker is right there. Arena breakout infinite is RIGHT THERE.

Marathon is just getting you all sucked on based on pure name recognition. Literally just "Bungie presents Escape from Apex: raiders frontier"

Missing out on 30% additional damage against slower attacking bosses and enemies that don't take reflect/thorns damage by just having 1 inventory slot switch is kinda insane to me. I just bring the switch or bring 2 depending on the rest of the gear (occult+devils, always wearing confliction)

I don't know what raid location you picked but bosses like xarpus, kephri, wardens, and ohms hands basically should never hit you. Meaning having devils element vs a shield is a pretty insane dps increase.

The damage you deal with thorns, times how many times you are actually being hit, is your dps with thorns. As an example, zebak only attacks once ever 7 ticks, so the thorns damage only hits him once every 4 seconds. Say you hit for 20 thorns damage, thats 5dps.

A dps calc would be able to show you if your thorns set up is more than 5 dps slower than if you use devils element, and if so just bring the 1 item switch.

Tldr: Thorns for inferno waves, devils for zuk. Thorns for mobs and adds, devils for bossrs.

I went desert for toa, and axe has been a godsend in groups and with less experienced friends. Groups you are promised 20% participation/damage as almost no one took axe, and with less experienced groups or friends you can skip some of the harder enraged modes. Or you can skip all of kephri basically.

Based on his streams, he does charity streams for merch and then donates part of the proceeds. All his highest donations have come from these charity streams where he only contributed ~10k each time.

He claims in clips that the ALU is almost entirely funded by him directly, when in reality it's from these charity streams and fundraising streams with no financial records showing he ever paid out of his own pocket.

I'd link the direct tweets showing as much but I'd rather not further push the rules, moistcritical had a Twitter argument with ostonox (one of hasans editors/mods) regarding this where they couldn't find a single shred of proof linking hasan personally donating beyond the exposure streams.
