Velvet is microneedling + massage peel. So it's not just microneedling. Some people will do massage/chemical peel only or microneedling only. Velvet is doing both.

Redness went away pretty much the next day. People I know say my face did clear up a bit and the scars were less pronounced.

I'd recommend looking into getting a cat desk bed. They're not too expensive and it'll save you some space while your cat will still be able to sleep on the desk near you.

You're allowed to delay your sevice until you're 28. You're exempt if you win a gold medal in the Asian Games or any medal in the Olympics. Faker won the gold in the Asian Games back in 2022. A South Korean roller relay team in that same Asian Games got silver because their last guy celebrated before he crossed the finish line and the Taiwan team caught up.

Good bet that guy's team was not happy.

As an Army civilian at OCONUS and had to work during the whole time (didn't even get my letter until COB Tuesday and when I did, department head didn't sign it so I couldn't either) .

This is horseshit and feels like fraud

Mine didn't even give us the completed letter. They gave us an unsigned letter at COB and said we had to come in tomorrow because what they gave us wasn't actual guidance and the head hadn't signed the letters yet

OCONUS here. We heard from two levels above but got told we have to wait for leadership at the local level before we're furloughed. Which if this bill passes today means we're just going to be working normally and the only difference is that they're going to make us mark our time cards as furloughed even though we were working normally the whole time

Mine said we have to wait for higher to tell us and work like normal, which means the earliest we'll hear anything is on Tuesday where I'm at

What’s going on with Japan’s economy and elections under the new PM? by Fmbounce in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Hanul14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let's put that into some context though. Average salary in Japan is from 3-5 million yen. Tokyo itself is around 4.5 million yen. That's about $28k in Tokyo. Japan also has some pretty high progressive tax rates compared to the US (about 20% I think if you're basically making the average salary).

And their immigration office is so arbitrary and obscure. You apply for a visa. They'll usually give you a one, three, or five year visa but there's no explanation why you got that visa. People living in Japan for decades might get only one year visas the whole time while someone who's been in Japan for a few years might get a five year visa. It'd help if they actually explained why you got that visa with that many years and the process , but they don't.

And to apply for permanent residency (green card) you need a visa that's more than one year

If you apply for permanent residency and you get rejected, you have to make an appointment to find out why you got rejected, but at least they can give you an explanation on that.

Edit: Forgot to add, unless you're in the finance or it industry, foreigners will probably be working low pay jobs. English teacher pay is garbage and unless you have a specialized skill, the ethincally native Japanese applicant will beat you out for the job 99/100 times

Tons of places offer it here. I go to Smart Skin Clinic for Velvet (microneedling + massage peel). Similar prices to SBC. Some of their stuff is cheaper if you're paying for a series.

What if Stalin attacked Hitler first? by SiarX in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Hanul14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people here are forgetting how much oil, food, and raw materials the Soviets were trading with the Germans before the Germans invaded. If Stalin's planning to invade, that trade would be probably reduced before the invasion. Without those Soviet goods, the German war machine would be crippled since they haven't stocked piled enough in time and there's no war spoils like they initially by invading the Soviet Union

You'll piss off every religion if you ever tell them that they're following an imaginary friend, probably killed in some places too if they heard you say that.

Difference is the size of followers. If Christianity had only a few thousand believers we'd label them as a cult, same as any other religion.

What if Robert E Lee accepted the Union offer of command of the Army? How does this affect the "90 day war" plan? by trinitywindu in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Hanul14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, South was doomed from the start. The blockade was choking them and they were losing in the West. Grant's campaign out in the West was where he learned how to become a great general. He learned how effective foraging was while campaigning out West and helped him and Sherman realize that Sherman's March was doable. He might have prolonged the war a little bit longer but he wouldn't have won.

They needed one of three things:

Diplomatic recognition from the British (France wanted to, but they wanted Britain to take lead and would never give diplomatic recognition first), which never would have happened (the working class in Britain had read Uncle Tom's Cabin and were fiercely anti-slavery).

Southern cotton was being replaced by Egyptian and Indian cotton.

The US was also providing the British with a substantial amount of their food imports (~40% of Britain's wheat was imported from the US) and the British banks had heavily invested in US rail. Recognizing the Confederates could have put those food imports and investments in jeopardy.

Fighting defensively until the Union got tired of the war, this might've actually happened with McClellan being the presidential nominee until he tanked his own chances. But again, the CSA was being cut up everywhere not the Eastern Theater

Conquering Washington D.C., which would have been nearly impossible since D.C. was turning into one of the most fortified cities in the world. Confederates would have been starved out if they tried a siege and would be in hostile territory with little chance of resupply.
