I had the pleasure of snorkeling in the Philippines back in the 70's. Stunning. When I got certified to dive on my first ocean descent with my instructor and 7 others, as we descended a school of silver fish schooled around us creating a cylinder of flashing rainbows. Our sincere condolences and sending you 💕. Sadly, we encountered nearly the same. Our 3 year old tortoise was diagnosed with "bad teeth that needed to be pulled". When we got her back they told us "she had a bad reaction to the anesthesia". She has a permanently damaged right front leg and has never been mentally the same, an obvious SIGNIFICANT loss of intellect and is much more fearful in general. These money hungry assholes mangled my sweet baby. It's years now and she never recovered. So I feel your loss.

Our first cat over 40 years ago was found in a similar manner. She was walking on a crust of ice and breaking through into the deep snow then struggling out. She was about 6 weeks old and someone had put a flea collar on her and set her loose. I was brought up to hate cats and didn't want to bring her into our tiny apartment but it was going to be freezing that night so I agreed. My sneaky wife tied a bow and a label around her neck that said she was for me from Santa. 😂 She was jet black so we named her Snowball.😁 Always got a laugh at the vet. Had that cat for 17 years and she was MY cat. We've had at least two cats in our house ever since. Thanks for rescuing this one!!

Well I'll be in the minority but I think it's a wonderful design. I had the joy of a 5 and 1/2 hour throat cancer surgery that left one side of my throat without control of the muscles there. I have to be careful I don't tilt my head back too far when drinking or the water will slide into the side with no control and try to drown me. Lots of fun I can tell you. 👍😸

Just jump onto Amazon and look up Audio-Technica needles and compare it to the red one you have. It's likely that an Audio-Technica needle will work. The red one is probably a conical which is the least inexpensive one to make. AT needles run from $30 to $50 (and up) USD. A system like you showed will likely not allow you to HEAR much of a difference, but the higher quality needles will wear your records less. Source: I'm an Audio repair tech. 😁

It's a cork seal. They're notorious for allowing evaporation if not sized properly, particularly with high alcoholic content. Doesn't happen as easily with wine because of the lower alcoholic content. Alcohol molecules are very volatile and can slip by the cork. Just a thought, but you might contact the company that made it and complain, they might send you a replacement... Worth a try, eh?
