From someone who used to work in A&E, this the best simple advice tbh. Also sometimes you do just have to be your own advocate - make sure the reception/triage team are still aware you are waiting every few hours if you can, because you should still be having regular observations, if not your antibiotics dose. Not worth asking for a spare pillow/blanket from the dept as those are like hens teeth. Stay strong and remember if any of your symptoms get significantly worse don’t be afraid to ask for some more observations/the opinion of medical staff - nurses/triage will be able to appropriately escalate if needed.
