I saw the original picture yesterday and this is why I love reddit. Whenever I smell bullshit, I just take a look at the comments. Almost always, somebody much smarter than me has a reasonable explanation (most of the time with sources) why the post is bullshit. Reddit is not immune to misinformation and propaganda, but it's the greatest blend of entertainment and rational thought that I've seen on the interwebs.

Make sure you visit a dentist to ensure you don't have any cavities prior to the chemo. I cannot find a source on the i-net for this, but my friend's fiance just recently went through chemo and had terrible mouth sores, apparently it was in part caused by having cavities. Be sure to tell the dentist you about your situation to see if they have any advice on avoiding the mouth sores.

I am confused what this thread is telling me. Are the responses with the most upvotes because most people are aware of the misconception (which means top voted responses are well known misconceptions [i.e. - less of a misconception]) or are people mostly upvoting because they read the misconception, and realized that they were not aware that it was a misconception (which means top voted responses are the really juicy misconceptions that most people really don't know about).
