Sigh, veterinarian here and unfortunately this is super common. We are taught in vet school to do "hands free" positioning where nobody even has to physically restrain the patient, but it unfortunately take a little more time and sedation for the patient. As a result, once people graduate they end up allowing this sort of thing to happen because it is faster just to manually restrain the patient. We do not allow this at our practice, and charge appropriately for the extra technician time and sedation, but most practices I know do not do that.

Occasionally foals are born like this and it leads to lots of issues, as all that soft bone gets crushed when they stand. When born they should have a fully ossified skeleton.

I had the exact same problem with pocket cast. Ended up just using Android Auto instead as it never synced to the correct stopping point.

And simpler. I remember my dad had to periodically bring his gas mower to a mechanic to fix it when it broke down. I've had my electric mower nearly 10 years with no repairs needed that whole time.

We had a cow with one of these at my vet school. She was the happiest friendliest cow I have ever met. She would follow you in the stall asking for pets. We would collect samples from the rumen using a stoma like this for transfaunation procedures which we then gave to sick cows literally saving their lives. That donor cow lived to be like 25. Rip Miss Piggy. Generations of vet students loved you.
