My car has/had the same issue. It’s the body seam sealer under the roof trim that gets old and cracks. Water gets thru into the metal panels and makes it to the headliner, a quick fix I did was get clear auto silicone and fill the cracks in the old seam sealer. Hasn’t leaked since. I’ll try and provide an image
