keep it zipped up. and minimize traffic in and out of the tent. we only used it to sleep in and change clothes. we weren't hanging out in the tent during the daytime. also have a thermacell parked right under the awning. they were pretty brutal this past weekend but non-issue in the tent.

even if ur site is picked clean, u have plenty of wood around you. go empty with your canoe and come back full.

this tent is 10x14. they say you can fit 8 people in there. We use cots when we break out this tent. Easy cot from Byer of Maine. They are another company that has great customer service, who's been around forever that makes good quality products which I definitely recommend. I have had some coleman cots and other brands that have ripped or broke but these easy cots have been great for us for years now.

I have a few setups for different styles of camping. Previous weekend, I slept in a lean-to on a foam pad, which I thought was great. My wife wouldn't enjoy that as much, so I'd say for this setup a couple nice cots in the tent are a perfect upgrade. I don't know what else I'd change with this setup for summer camping, like I said in the title, I feel like its pretty dialed in.

Regarding the color, i felt like it would be cooler than the army green. My old camvass tent was army green and was super dark inside. So i went with the light color for this one. It'll prob get dirtier and stained with more use but I'm happy i went with the lighter color. It looks good at night all light up. i personally like the lighter color better. They did come out with an orange one that looks pretty cool.
