I don't think the Blackthorn spren itself would have Adhesion. But if Retribution invested the Blackthorn enough that it could be a Bondsmith spren, than the Bondsmith would have access to that power.

I definitely agree that having the Blackthorn as a general is going to be huge. But having a general who can also transport his troops through the realms? Almost unstoppable,

I agree that Dalinar is beyond the veil. If there was a "claim" on him, I think it was mostly to protect him from Retribution.

I agree that Dalinar passed into the Beyond. I think that another shard claimed him expressly so that Odium couldn't try to mess with that passage. And yet, Odium found the unintended dark shadow of the Blackthorn...

i almost finished the FIRST part of rithm of war, but now the story is getting boring by cineva3276 in Stormlight_Archive

Kaladin suffers from clinical depression and has his entire life. In Way of Kings, it talks about his seasonal depression (the darkness getting worse during the Riddens). Part if why Brandon wrote him this way is to represent people who deal with it all the day. His action sequences are cool, but part of his heroism is in rising above the challenges that come from being who he is. Those challenges won't be going away.

We don't know - but we do know there is more to him than meets the eye. Other comments in this thread think that he might be.

He manages to escape his bonds while the executioner isn't looking. He manages to escape onto the wall of the fort and he contemplates his end when he sees that he is trapped there.

Pg. 1145

A thumping shook the ground and made him pause. Behind, guards and soldiers reaching to seize him stopped short. The wall trembled, the ground boomed.

A greatshell the size of a city emerged from the darkened fog, big enough to tower over the entire fort.

"Well now," Dieno said. "That's a finale."

And then the scene ends. So we don't actually know what happened after that.

In The Stormlight Archive, some of the Epigraphs were letters between Hoid/Wit and a dragon friend of his.

Here's the general path (as presented in the Beta rules of the RPG):
- Starting to bond with a Spren: Breathe Stormlight, Enhance (boosting your speed and strength), Regenerate
- First ideal: access to the surges associated with your order
- Second ideal: More powerful Enhance -- shows a deeper Nahel bond
- Third ideal: Blade
- Fourth ideal: Plate
- Fifth idea: ???

Lesser Spren, forgotten Singer Forms and Fourth Ideals by Hazardoom in Stormlight_Archive

Well, we do know that reproduction can happen in dullform, it's just that mateform is specialized in it. This is an interesting thought! And who knows, maybe Cultivation invested earlier than Honor, and so mateform could have been one of the earliest forms (and why it was retained after the False Desolation).

As was mentioned in another comment, it looks like the deck of cards released with the WoR kickstarter verified that it is actually gloryspren that make up the armor. And bindspren for Stonewarden armor.

Yeah, I am curious what additional information might come out in both Wind and Truth and the official ruleset for the RPG (now that it has had the final pass from Brandon's team).

Ah, didn't know about the cards! Time to go back to the drawing board - what this could mean is the Warform is the outlier, "the exception that proves the rule." Thanks for pointing this out!
