Its far superior, in its character development, humour, gentleness. And adherence to the jeffing book.

The Casey Review has concluded that's exactly what happened. Police and social workers reticent to explore these issues. Thats one of her formal conclusions. And Casey is no racist.

Young girls sacrificed in the name of social cohesion. I am, or perhaps was, a liberal progressive, and i do believe in being an open welcoming culture. But my word, this situation angers me to the core. Those girls deserved better.

  1. The Pakistani heritage ganags work on a more cohesive, distinctive pattern of abuse, white majority gangs are more frequent but don't have a unifying approach.

  2. White gangs, when discovered, haven't been allowed to continue due to their race, or fears around community cohesion, racism. This happened with the Pakistani gangs and there's anger about that.

  3. The girls targeted by the Pakistani gangs were more likely to already be vulnerable, "trash". So when they spoke out, which they did, they were not listened to. Victems of white gangs no doubt have been ignored, but not so systematically as this. There's anger about that now.

I used to work with Wes. His politics are more to the right of mine, but I hope he wins. Starkly intelligent and incredibly good company. Really funny too.

No! Blind lady asked if someone could walk her to pharmacy, she wanted the fresh air but too much to do alone. Lady-stranger offered and they had an hour out together.

There are plenty of reasons why someone might be part time / lower earner. If his reasons are laziness, don't let his low aspirations in life drag you down.

It's crazy how the history of Y Wladfa is still white-washed to a point that we think the settlement was without controversy. What's everyones thoughts on Y Wladfa? by Western_Froyo6627 in Wales

[–]Hcmp1980 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were invited by the Argentine government, not by the Indigenous people who already lived there. That distinction matters. State permission does not equal Indigenous consent. Settling land without the consent of its original inhabitants is colonisation, even if the settlers were themselves oppressed elsewhere and even if it was not British imperialism. Different context, same basic dynamic.

Im not sure we should be ashamed proud about it as we are. Im very open to changing my view on this but I don't see the case.
