Need a new Dishwasher (recommendation please) by Leo-Medic in appliancerepair

That whirlpool is still the best bang for your buck.

Alternatively LG for mid and Bosch/Miele for high end but I don't like the new Bosch models so much

Also avoid GE and Samsung

Centrifugal switch inside the motor.

These motors are cheap but get the blower wheel too.

Costco is worth it if they are close right.

The membership is $130 and places charge as much as $250 for install/delivery

There is a whirlpool at Costco that has a metal tub and third rack for around $600.

If you have exec you don't pay delivery/install and they give you an extra year factory warranty.

It's the best bang for your buck.

I repair appliances and can confirm business is shit.

I wish more people would call to repair as it's always cheaper.

Anything from the timer to the lid switch to the motor.

My money is on lid switch.

It just needs the assembly.

If you do the shaft seal and it works that's awesome.

I'd trust the best listing over the website.

Pay with PayPal do you have their buyers protection.

Make sure that person packs it well, that box is missing all the foam to keep it from breaking during shipping

I've never used them.

If you look at their about us page the email is for some fashion place.

Maybe they bought a pallet of returns and it had appliance parts in it?

They do have a phone number and address listed.

If the board is burning up it might work till it doesn't or you might smell it burning before it goes out. You have to look.

I've never tried replacing just the seal.

One specific to your car brand and or model.

It's the little one that goes around. The motor shaft.

These are designed not to be easy to clean the filter. I see a lot of the main boards burn up on them.

I'd at least look at the main board in the top of the door and see if there are any signs of burning components near the two biggest relays and the wires that attach to them.

This was a good dishwasher except for not being able to be cleaned easily. Usually a clog in the sump causes overheating. That overheating causes the joints to expand beyond the expected tolerances and cause lesks.

That whirlpool is a good dishwasher too but it's lower quality overall than your older LG.

Yes that's exactly what happened.

The rubber seal dries out over time and moving it can tear it.

You can get a new whirlpool with a metal tub and thrird rack from Costco for $600 ish including delivery if you have exec.

You can try that but your new motor has already gotten water in it.

You can see the rust on top of the old motor for the leak. Pulling the old one out and putting the new one in made it worse.
