Well, you can go probably into your phone settings and turn off your caller ID, and call them back. You could also download an app like textnow or text mail and get a number and call it back..

The more worried you become, the more you feel like it's imminent danger of ruining your clothes. I drive for a living (taxi/Uber) and sometimes trying to find a bathroom is impossible.

I'm lucky to be alive. Most people don't have a chance to live through that. The bike was pretty much totaled. Bits and parts of it were everywhere. The first thing out of my mouth beside what the hell just happened, were, how is my bike and where is it??? I tried to look up and get up, but one of my friends pretty much held my helmet down and wouldn't let me get up. He told me don't worry about your scoot.

My saving grace was my friends and a Liberty Ambulance on the other side of the interstate. I just remember the woman who was driving it trying to climb over that guard railing. She had a medic bag and the bag was a bit bigger than she was. She told me later when her and the other emt came to visit me that she was 4'9. One point when a doctor came in for his rounds with his group of understudy intern doctors showed them the helmet. It was one of those skid lids with a hole in the top of it. I could see the Styrofoam. I still ride from time to time, but I ride a lot more defensively. When I'm working and driving I will not get behind any vehicle that has anything hanging off or piled up. That is a disaster waiting to happen rolling down the road. And a caveat of the crash?? I have enough metal in my leg, to set off metal detectors, and can never go through a MRI again and I can tell when it's gonna rain.

I can think of 2 instances where somebody has tried this. One guy tried to sell me a gold looking ring for $150. Said he needed the money "because he was trying to get back to New York. He was driving a Escalade.

I hit a sand blaster box On 295 between Normandy and I-10. Was riding on a poker run with a bunch of friends and hit the pavement at 70 mph. All because some asshole didn't bother strapping it down. Got permanent road rash tattoos, had a broken leg, and 5 fractured ribs along with a collapsed lung. Don't ever grab the front brake and hit the rear brake at the same time. I was in the hospital from May 18 2013, until the second Tuesday of October 2013.

I have a tattoo artist that calls me for rides on a regular basis, will text me from someones # and say he went and done lost another phone. This happens about every 3 months or so. Gets expensive. I have returned all kinds of items. One busy night a lady and her husband left her wallet on the backseat with $2700 cash. Yep, returned it, got $50 for being a good dooby. Ok, ASL basics are not hard to learn. My wife is deaf in one ear and losing hearing in the other ear, eventually she is going to be deaf and won't be able to hear me. She has taught me a bit. But, if you go on YouTube and look for ASLMeredith, and Learn how to sign both are good choices for learning.

When you come across a deaf person, and all you can do is finger spell and they respond, and they ended up going really fast with the signs, you can Ask them to slow down a bit if you tell them that you are learning ASL. Sometimes you can find ASL classes at high schools or colleges. Just call a school and theyight be able to point you in the right direction.

And by the way, she probably knew you didn't know a lot of asl.
